Via NewsBusters: ‘Face the Nation’ Edits Out Senator Cruz Condemning Obama’s ‘Abuse of Power’

I was initially shocked to see how CBS edited out Cruz’s condemnation of the Obama regime.

But really, this is par for the course, for Bob Schieffer.

Remember this gem?

He once called Sarah Palin “a great attraction, as an amusement.”

A more appropriate name for Schieffer’s show?

Deface the Nation.

Heads I win, Tails you lose. Editing for time restraints or any reason, ends up in more positive segment for Liberals and more negative for Conservatives. Jut like compromise means giving into liberal position.

Decent article on Republican Rep. Grimm who told off/threatened NYC TV reporter last night. Grimm sounds like a NYC fugheddabout it character. Doesn’t play so well outside NYC. Some highlights; he worked for a small financial firm, Whale Securities. (Whale is not a name that implies sober financial action.) As FBI, a colleague was named, Carlos Luquis. Too close to Carlos Luckys for me, reminds me of Carlos Danger. http://news.yahoo.com/meet-michael-grimm-ex-fbi-congressman-break-reporters-152900316.html

My assumption is that before on-camera interview, agreement was reached to only discuss SOTU, but then reporter asked about campaign finance allegations anyway. Going back on agreement is not great, but politicians have to be ready for that better than Grimm was.

Speaking of, Abuse of Power; I like that a Norwegian PM has nominated Snowden for Nobel Peace Prize. I’m sure that nomination is above board and just for Snowden’s outing of NSA spying. But I like to think that it is also some payback for the recent Obama nomination for ambassador to Norway.

Some of the comments from Norwegians after the ambassador nominee bombed at Senate hearing. http://www.newsinenglish.no/2014/01/23/new-ambassador-stumbles-at-the-start/

“The nomination (of Tsunis) is nothing less than an insult against Norway,”

“…I do not understand why the US sends a ‘bullsh**-talker’ to Norway.”

Thanks, Shifra! And thank God for NEW media. Funny thing is, Bob probably thought he could get away this; that no one would ever find out what Ted Cruz said. It’s pathetic. The old guards have become nothing more than a lesson in the abdication of journalistic responsibility, and an object for us to point at and laugh. Trust none of them.

Wonder if any of Chuck U’s segment was cut due to “time constraints”? One high point was seeing Ramesses filling his diaper. “Senator!!!……Senator”!!!!

Interview with Jacob Appelbaum, confident of Snowden, who is also in exile (Germany I think). http://www.dw.de/appelbaum-no-belief-that-president-has-control/a-17422189
