Poverty and unemployment are at near-record levels, the economy is stalled, and a record 47 million Americans are on food stamps, yet aides for first lady Michelle Obama’s tweeted out a picture of her two dogs apparently dining at a table laid with crystal and china.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw this pic. I didn’t think that Thing 1 and Thing 2 could surprise me anymore. I personally do not think dogs belong at the table anyway – so this shocked my sensibilities. It seems like such a small thing but the message of disrespect that it conveys speaks volumes. They really do hate US.

I went to the twitter link. The surprising thing is the majority of comments from absolutely adoring fans are quite numerous. Apparently, those of us that find the pretentiousness simply appalling, are in the minority. It seems the class system is quite wonderful to the adoring fans. Excuse me for a moment, it’s time to use my “finger bowl”, or I should say “paw bowl”.

Hyderabad chose continued independence when India and Pakistan were created. But in 1948, the Nizam, was deposed by India army in Operation Polo and India subsumed Hyderabad.

Anyone surprised by this? These people live in a fantasy world paid for by us. While Bo & Sunny dine on the people’s china plates, homeless people are sleeping on cardboard boxes outside the WH gates. Where’s that twitter pic?
