The people of Virginia have spoken: We. have. had. enough!
Via Fox News: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor loses Virginia GOP primary
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has been defeated by a tea party-backed challenger in the Republican primary.
Economics professor Dave Brat won a stunning upset victory against Cantor on Tuesday in the 7th District Republican primary contest, which is in the Richmond area.
Cantor is the second-most powerful member of the U.S. House and was seen by some as a possible successor to the House speaker.
His loss to a political novice with little money marks a huge victory for the tea party movement, which supported Cantor just a few years ago.

I don't even know what "Tea Party" is, I do know The People have had enough. Cantor's loss sends a message to both machines we've had it

Ouch LOL!!!
Oh my, this is huge.
awwwwww shucks.
Hey Mooch: This is *not* the first time I am proud of my country! 🙂
I’m happy to see the deadwood cleared out IF the people stepping up to the plate are savvy and shrewd. We’re all angry, but anger isn’t enough; politics is (unfortunately) a slick business, and amateurs get eaten alive.
My fear is that learning to navigate these waters and swim with the sharks is inherently corrupting. We all sense that the best people are unsuited for politics, and the participants are necessarily damaged goods, and becoming more so.
In the immortal words of Bullet Bob Armstrong, “You can color that boy gone.”
Hallelujah! The efforts of true conservative patriots are paying off big for us. Thank Mark Levin for supporting David Brat on his show.
Some of the cable news shows have just gone into orbit.
Doom, despair, and agony on me. Deep dark depression, excessive misery. If it weren’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all. Doom, despair, and agony on me.
3 cheers for VA7!!!
As a reminder of what we are up against, here’s an opinion piece published today on how Obama’s recent difficulties help Jeb for 2016. I believe the piece was written before last night and that the author is describing what he sees not necessarily what he advocates. The last sentence is right on. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/obamas-blunders-bolster-jeb-bushs-2016-chances-2014-06-11
And here are two Republican responses to Brat’s victory.
“One House Republican, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Cantor’s loss was a “big win” for President Obama because it could empower the more hardline elements in the GOP and damage the effort on the part of some Republicans to broaden the party’s appeal to cross ethnic and gender lines….“It really is shocking; completely shocking,” the House Republican said.” http://washingtonexaminer.com/eric-cantors-defeat-throws-republican-leadership-into-total-chaos/article/2549563
“As John McCain strategist and comparative centrist Mike Murphy tweeted Tuesday night: ‘In the movie version, tonight is when Ted Cruz hears the news, lets out a maniacal laugh and orders a million Cruz for President yard signs'” http://www.salon.com/2014/06/11/eric_cantor_got_what_he_deserved_a_political_frauds_stunning_demise/

Right after a Picture of Dave on the home page is a GREAT picture of Ronald Reagan.
GOOD ENOUGH for me!
I will support all the other strong upcoming candidates like Dave Brat, Mia Love, etc since my NJ Republican candidate Frelinhuysen is on old white man auto pilot.
He will not get any of my money.
I think where tea party shines is where regular people turn out to vote and show up at meetings and party conventions. Where Tea Party goes wrong is the big national organizations that have to concern themselves too much with raising money. The strength of the tea party movement is not in the politicians or big organizations who claim the label, but in the regular people who’ve had enough.
This is why, in my opinion, we really can’t have a formal Tea Party political party, because that kind of stratified power structure cannot replicate the authentic motivations of regular people.
Let’s recall that Cantor DID NOT endorse Ken Cuccinelli during the Republican Primary election in June 2012, and who then went on to lose the Governor’s election to the Social Democrat Operative of Obama and former DNC Mouthpiece, McAuliffe. So the local district voters knew Cantor was a RINO and needed to be replaced. Good for them~!
