Washington Times: BRUCE: Feds plot to steal your paycheck
The EPA takes its cue from rogue president on wage-garnishment scheme

This week’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement introducing a new “rule” allowing the agency to garnish the wages of individuals to collect debts — without a court order — portends something quite serious.

It is certainly cause for alarm. After all, here we have a federal agency that has decided to give itself the power to garnish an individual’s wages, based on fines it levies on its own authority — all while removing your right to due process.

This declaration that an agency can do as it pleases is yet another, but unfortunately familiar, step in the direction of an entire bureaucracy that thinks it’s above the law.

Why not? Our president believes he can do anything he pleases by just the stroke of his pen. All the rest of the Government under him follows suit. So what will we do?
Stand on our feet and fight this usurpation of power, or die on our knees.

And here’s an article on another delightful Federal Register Notice. This Tuesday, July 15, 2014, notice of a ‘temporary regulation’ was posted authorizing the IRS to provide the Dept. of Commerce (Census Bureau) with tax return information as requested by the Secy of Commerce. Stated reason is to help Census design a cheaper 2020 census form. ‘Temporary regulation’ notice doesn’t identify what info. will be shared (sounds like any requested), declares that it is not a significant regulatory action, and states that because no action is needed by taxpayers & tax liability is not affected therefore no tax payers are likely to be affected.

Really? It’s okay to share our tax return info. so as to design a cheaper census form/survey? HECK NO!!! The article has a link to Fed. Reg. notice which details how one can comment on the ‘temp. reg.’
