Finally.

After five years in “captivity.”

And six soldiers dead, thanks to this jacka**.

Via Fox News: Bergdahl to be charged with desertion, official says

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was taken captive by the Taliban after abandoning his post in Afghanistan and later freed in exchange for five Guantanamo detainees, will be charged with desertion, a senior U.S. official told Fox News.

The development comes nearly one year after his May 2014 release — which initially was a joyous occasion, with his family joining President Obama in celebrating the news in the Rose Garden. But that gave way to controversy in Washington as Bergdahl was accused of putting his fellow soldiers in danger by abandoning his post five years earlier. The trade of five hardened Taliban fighters for his freedom raised deep concerns on Capitol Hill that the administration struck an unbalanced deal.

The military plans to address the case at a press conference Wednesday afternoon at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Fox News has learned he will be specifically charged with desertion and misbehavior toward the enemy. A senior U.S. official said he will face a court martial and likely trial….

Six soldiers dead looking for this guy.

This vet (and who knows how many others) grievously injured in that same search: https://twitter.com/philewing/status/580809646639837184

Five high-level terrorists set free to bring him home.

One thoroughly nauseating victory lap from the Obama administration.

One entire platoon smeared and impugned as partisan liars for daring to tell the truth about this guy.

And NONE of this is out of character for this administration.

Are we allowed to question our Preezy’s patriotism now?

Angela, if the Preezy had a son he would look just like Bergdhal, a Cowardly Slimeball!

In Obama’s worldview, the WH statement that Bergdahl “served with distinction” has no reason to be retracted….

  4. n9zf says:

Hmmf… The same team that traded Bergdahl for 5 Taliban whack-jobs is negotiating with Iran over nuclear weapons…. what could go wrong?

Obola, Rice, Clinton should ALL be in jail or shot at dawn.

You guys are all wrong. I think this administration will throw the book at him: Honorable discharge, full back pay, combat pay, purple heart-come on he must have broken at least one nail looking for the Taliban, and, of course, the obligatory sexual reassignment surgery….

After Bergdahl disappeared, the Army had 5 years to investigate his intentions. Why didn’t they arrest him as soon as they had him? Instead, knowing what he was, they put him in the protocol office, so he’s spent the past year here instructing other soldiers how to behave. And we wonder why we’re losing the war.

Bergdahl committed much more than treason. And what he did wasn’t against the Military Code of Justice; he betrayed those who were next to him…an unwritten code of the infantry. I learned this when the dubious swap with the Taliban happened. I saw it in the faces of the soldiers serving with him…on a television interview. Betrayal! I wrote this right after I saw the interview….

Scumbag Bergdahl should face a firing squad, end of discussion.
