Garry Kasparov is a former world chess champion and a political activist. He was interviewed last week on Bloomberg TV, following the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

Bloomberg: If you were sitting with President Obama today, what would you tell him to do?

Kasparov: Resign.

Bloomberg: Resign, over this issue?

Kasparov: No. Look what’s happened, I believe every thug in the world is counting the remaining time — 22 months in the office.

Bloomberg: How does the president’s resignation solve that?

Kasparov: OK, I have to apologize, I’m emotional, but he proved to be a weak leader. He is the top of the free world, the only man who Putin counts as a potential opponent. And looking at Obama’s actions, in fact, inaction, Putin believes he can do whatever. Every negotiation he’s in, Cuba, Iran, whatever, shows America is weak….

      What’s missing though is that if Biden became President, he would then choose a VP. Can you imagine who that would be? Marie Harf, the first woman VP.

    When Putin heard that Obama would be more flexible after the ’12 elections… he knew he owned Obama and that he could do what he feels like because Obama, as well as; the UN, does not have the stones to stand up to him.
