Too bad he couldn’t launch into his fav topic, trashing his real enemy…Republicans.

….During his speech, Obama uttered the line, “with the additional steps I ordered last month, we’re speeding up training of ISIL forces.”

The White House.gov transcript left in the original quote, but placed the word ‘Iraqi’ in brackets after the word ISIL, correcting Obama’s mistake….

    Twofer. Gets transparency credit for leaving gaffe in transcript, with appended correction, and sends signal to all Islamic terrorist supporters that he’s on your side.

    Shifra notes Obama’s tone of bored detachment and unconcern, which I think is the fundamental problem here. He doesn’t really care about problems like ISIS or nuclear Iran, and he figures they’ll just play themselves out and go away. But he’s president, and he’s supposed to say something, so he mouths the words and now nobody can say he didn’t address the issue. He saves his efforts for the subjects he’s truly passionate about, such as how to integrate transgenders into the military, or some nasty thug that can be elevated to sainthood in another #BlackLivesMatter campaign, and of course climate change.

    The common thread is that everything Obama cares about is used as an excuse to beat up on what he sees as his true enemy, which is the American heartland. Not exactly an attitude we want to see in an American president, unless we’re as sick as he is.
