In a new interview with the Associated Press, Iran’s top diplomat slapped the hand of the United States.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told the AP that the US has an “addiction to sanctions” ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
He said the nuclear sanctions that the US called “crippling” were anything but, and that it better be careful about imposing new sanctions.
“The United States was not able to stop Iran’s nuclear program through sanctions,” he said. “They imposed what they called ‘crippling sanctions’ against Iran. In fact Iran’s nuclear program increased, by my last calculation, 200 fold….
