My first reaction when I saw this headline was “these guys are brave.” It is frightening that in our supposedly free country that a person or group of people should be afraid to speak the truth backed up by facts (or for that matter, an opinion) without being viciously attacked/condemned by some fascist faction; cue up the LGBT(Q?), Environmental Global Warmers, etc. How long will it be before this brave group of pediatricians are shamed/threatened to change or deny their position; and will they hold strong in the face of that pressure.

The American College of Pediatricians reaffirmed the biological differences between men and women and condemned the idea of teaching kids early on that gender identity is fluid as “child abuse.” In a preliminary statement released on Monday, the group of over 400 pediatricians nationwide listed eight points explaining their position scientifically.
Perhaps the most compelling is the last point, where the organization unequivocally condemned miseducating young people….
Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse. Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present to “gender clinics” where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures that they will “choose” a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults.
n the past few years, books and TV shows promoting transgenderism have been targeted toward children and young adults, with the goal of reaching people before they are old enough to question the ideology of self-described gender. This is to say nothing of Bruce “Call Me Caitlyn” Jenner, the former Olympic athlete turned transgender icon. The American College of Pediatricians seeks to reverse this trend, and has data to back up their objections to it. “Facts — not ideology — determine reality,” the statement declares….

A minister talking on this subject made a good point,the
surgical procedure does not make one a woman, it makes one a neuter.
Therefore the parents are stealing the childs sexuality. Sex being a
tangible part of ones persona,this may be why there are suicides attached to this.
I agree that it is very courageous of the Pediatricians to take this stance in these overly, politically-correct times as a result of our divider-in-chief who has promoted identity politics with steroids. I am in mental health and am very sympathetic to those whom truly struggle. In fact, many years ago, I saw a couple and did a thorough history. A few months later, one of the spouses came to see me and revealed they underwent the surgery. Shockingly, I asked why they did not reveal this to me. The person said they did not think it was important. For the life of me, I could not reconcile why they thought this transformative surgery was not significant until recently. I realized this person had suffered and only wanted to live their life as normally as possible within the social norms. Now, all I hear are young people being fluid and exploring their gender identity. Thank God I only see adults. Many who are actually liberal also question this catapulted movement but cannot speak or would not only be excoriated in their profession but also at risk of losing their job. Shame on this President for heightening such differences, but this is Marxism, breaking down all remnants of consistency and stability.
Evil does not sleep and takes on many forms. It is real and it exists in this world.
