Now, in all public NYC buildings, any man who looks like a man, dresses like a man, and *is* a man, but “self-identifies” (whatever that means) as a woman can now walk into any women’s bathroom or locker room.

What could go wrong?

Probably a lot.

Via WSJ:

Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order Monday requiring city agencies to allow people to use public restrooms based on their self-declared gender identity as a man, woman or neither.

The measure is intended to add enforcement powers to a 2002 amendment to the city’s Human Rights Law that added gender identity as a protected class. It extends protections to New York City’s estimated 25,000 transgender people as well as those who don’t identify as either male or female.

“Here, we respect the rights of all,” Mr. de Blasio said at an event in Chelsea to announce the order.

The order applies to the bathrooms of thousands of city facilities such as pools, playgrounds and recreation centers. City agencies will be required to post a notice of the policy at the locations within three months. Managerial staff will be trained on the policy within one year and all staff within two years.

Covered under the executive order are 55 municipal buildings citywide, including courts and City Hall. That includes 2,228 restrooms.

People who identify with neither gender can use whichever bathroom they feel most comfortable using.

  1. Those the Gods would destroy, they first make mad. Insanity has arrived, could destruction be far behind?

Self declared gender identity? What does that even mean? Public restrooms will now be safer for transgenders, but what about our kids? I won’t feel safer sending any child into a restroom. I can only shake my head at this insanity. When will it end?

So if a man who self-identifies, as a woman, who enters a woman’s restroom in a private building could get arrested and when the police take him to the station, they have to let him use the woman’s restroom there. Ought to be fun. Curious, if an arrested man who says he’s a woman requests to be frisked, by a woman and not a male officer, shouldn’t the police have to honor that request.

I feel cheated. Modern boys can say the magic words of “I identify as a girl” and breeze right into the girls’ locker room, and anybody who objects will be punished as a hater. Why couldn’t they have these rules when I was a kid and might have profited from them? Unfair!

There’s an easy solution, someone has to invent a DNA detector machine, & any
person whose blood drop says MAN cannot open the door to the WOMEN BR.
    Voila-our kids are safe.
