Candid Camera was one of my favorite childhood TV shows.
The Saudi version, however, is primitive and cruel.
Much like their country.
Via Daily Mail:
Begging for their lives and even throwing themselves from a moving car, these are the terrified passengers who were the victims of a Saudi prankster pretending to be a taxi driving suicide bomber.
A new video has emerged online showing the prankster posing as a driver and picking up fares as part of a stunt for a TV show in Saudi Arabia.
But in each of the clips while driving his car, the so-called cabbie appears to pull back his shirt, revealing what looks like a suicide explosives vest taped to his waist.
He then goes on to tell the passengers: ‘I want you to come to heaven with me’, prompting them to take drastic action….
According to the Alalam website, the prank was designed to show the ‘destructive bloody culture’ of jihadism and to try and stop young Saudis from joining up….

For those too young to remember, but not me either Shifra, this show was a ‘must see’ TV program:

dennisl59, remember the episode where they took out the engine from a car? Then, they pushed the car down the hill and Fannie Flagg coasted into a gas station and told the mechanic that she was having “engine trouble.” The look on the mechanic’s face, when he saw there was nothing under the hood, was priceless.
