As it turns out, the girls are sisters.

Outrage ensued:

Via UPI:

Apparel company Gap apologized for the photo in a new children’s clothing ad that some have decried as racially insensitive.

In the photo, four young girls are posed together, with a white girl standing with her arm resting on a younger African-American girl’s head. The Gap said it will remove the image, but will keep the larger ad campaign.

“While all of the girls are adorable and, indeed, all of them should grow up to be and do anything, it becomes problematic when the black child is positioned to be a white child’s prop,” said Kirsten West Savali of the website Root.com late last week.

The story went viral and got the Gap’s attention.

“As a brand with a proud 46-year history of championing diversity and inclusivity, we appreciate the conversation that has taken place and are sorry to anyone we’ve offended,” Gap spokeswoman Debbie Felix told Fortune….

In another twist of the story, the girls happen to be sisters, according to a tweet from their mother, actress Brook Smith.

Why all the hoopla? It appears some people find offence in everything. Who’s this Fatima girl? She must have studied the picture for a long time before she found something she could whine about.

The Tableau is that of an arch with the keystone in the middle saying Love Adventure supporting the adventure on both sides, eg, an Arc de Triomph. Good job SJWs. Not.

Why didn’t they just turn the photo upside down? That would make it look like the two center girls are doing some impressive balancing act, and everything would be cool. Just announce that some intern in the advertising department accidentally inverted the photo in the initial release.

Geez, why don’t people bring these problems to me? So many problems I alone can solve!

  4. This is all so much bull hooie, what’s next the battle of brown eyes vs blue eyes? Not to worry, when Islam takes over all females will be seen walking around in black body sacks with screens over the eyes. They’ll all look like a black Casper the ghost.
