Julianne Moore is doubling down on her efforts to push for stricter gun control.
In an essay published in Lena Dunham’s newsletter Tuesday, the 55-year-old actress encouraged women to join Everytown for Gun Safety.
“An average of 91 people a day are killed by gun violence,” Moore wrote. “That includes children killed by random bullets, mass shootings at workplaces and universities, intimate-partner homicides, and suicides.”
“Women in the United States are 11 times more likely to be murdered with a gun than women in any other developed nation. More than half are killed by a boyfriend, husband, or someone else in her family.”
….“Because our weak gun-safety laws allow guns to end up in the hands of dangerous people,” she continued. “Roughly 40 percent of firearms in the United states are acquired without a background check, so criminals can obtain weapons they shouldn’t have.”….
“It should not be a partisan argument. It should not be a pro-gun-versus-anti-gun argument. It is not an argument about our Constitution. The Second Amendment protects the right of a United States citizen to bear arms. But a gun is a machine. And if you choose to bear arms, you have a responsibility to bear them safely.”….

OMG, another blithering feel good idiot drinks the lib/progressive Kool-Aid. Can’t these people think for themselves and open their eyes and actually see what is going on? Apparently not, easier to regurgitate the demo/lib/progressive talking points and look good doing so. Wonder if she has private security and body guards?
Simple fact, she’s not the dimmest bulb in the box…but dim she is.
Just for the record, when someone says “gun deaths” rather than “murder with a gun”, they’re lumping suicide into the mix. The big majority of “gun deaths” are suicides.
