Bad train car- ma!

A thief who snatched a cellphone at a subway station in Queens had another thing coming — a quick-moving train he ran into on a clumsy getaway Tuesday, police sources and witnesses said.

The 33-year-old crook swiped a 13-year-old’s cellphone on a Manhattan-bound M train at the Northern Boulevard station in Woodside — then hopped onto F train express tracks and bolted west through the subway tunnel at 8 am, police sources and witnesses said.
But his escape went off the rails when a Manhattan-bound F train — packed with rush-hour commuters — grazed him in tunnel near the 65th street station, leaving him with scratches and bruises, police sources and witnesses said.

“He was running down there like a trapped rat with trains speeding around him,” a transit superintendent said.

He added, “I came up on the guy and he was crying, saying he got shocked by the train, saying he got electrocuted. His lip was bleeding…When I saw him he was on his knees with some blood on his lip, drooling, moaning,” the superintendent said.

Frustrated commuters were stranded for an hour as power to the track was cut so fire fighters could rescue the ditzy pick-pocket. “[The thief] was running from police and unfortunately ran into our train,” an F-train conductor to announced.

The crook, who was wearing a cast on his arm, roughed up the 13-year-old. When another commuter tried to stop him, he punched him in the face with his cast, MTA officials said….

  1. Boo Hoo, it’s not fair. The kid had a cell phone and the thief did not. The perp should have petitioned Oblabla for a free phone.
