Surprise.

Via Daily Caller.

One of the sitting members on the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism is a 25-year-old immigrant of Syrian heritage who said that the 9/11 attacks “changed the world for good” and has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media.

Laila Alawa was one of just 15 people tapped to serve on the newly-formed HSAC Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism in 2015 — the same year she became an American citizen. Just last week, the subcommittee submitted a report to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, recommending that the DHS avoid using Muslim terminology like the words “sharia” and “jihad” when discussing terrorism.

Alawa says she immigrated into the U.S. when she was ten years old. Her family had already left Syria by the time she was born. “But I will always be Syrian. I will always be from Syria. I will always be of Syria,” she wrote in November 2015, calling the country her “homeland.”

In April 2013, she responded to a tweet from activist Pamela Geller who called the Boston Marathon bombings “jihad” by tweeting: “go fuck yourself.”

This can’t be true, can it? That would be as unbelievable as there being Muslim Brotherhood representatives inside the WH advising our president…Oh wait. Never mind.

Obama says he doesn’t use the term “radical Islam” because the terrorists want to legitimize themselves as representatives of the religion. He also somewhat mockingly says “radical Islam” isn’t a magic term that is going to make things different. So let’s get this straight. If the President of the United States uses the term “radical Islam” he would confer religious legitimacy on ISIS. Presto! Change-o!

If it is so damaging to ISIS’s image to be stripped of any religious legitimacy then it is only the mainstream Islamic community which can do that. They need to massively and unequivocally denounce ISIS. I mean something like a million Muslim march with signs and speeches and people clearly mad at ISIS. Instead they act the victims who are offended by any suggestion they need do something to separate Islam from ISIS. ISIS is making that association and it is Islam that has to break it not magic words unspoken by Obama.

Obama likes the Muslim Brotherhood. He also would like this DHS monster, for she speaks what he believes. He likes our enemies. He hates us.

Another example of why big gov’t doesn’t work. I don’t believe that before DHS there was an Advisory Committee for FBI, CIA,… Advisory Committees are typically required for either an independent Commission where the Pres. can’t remove Commissioners, and for Cabinet-level Depts. (because of their large size). If the personnel have a conscience then they operate correctly, but if not, then they operate as internal sue and settle groups. They provide ‘recommendations’ to the Cabinet Secy that he/she could/should not make on their own, but with recommendation, oh I need to listen to the experts and do this. My sense is, while Laila Alawi is rotten, it’s the totality of the Committee that needs to be gone, eg, DHS needs to be gone.
