John Kerry tweeted the Jewish community a Happy Chanukah, adding the Hebrew “Chag Sameach” (“Happy Holiday”) in what he thought would be a nice touch.

This, after the U.S. abstained from voting in the UN, allowing the United Nations Security Council to adopt a resolution that condemned what they called “illegal Israeli settlement construction,” which in reality is building construction on Jewish land.

And, after Kerry had the nerve to say that Israel construction on the West Bank is “spawning terrorism.”

So, people were less than appreciative of his phony “good wishes:”

HT Algemeiner.

Meanwhile, POTUS and FLOTUS tried their hand at Chanukah greetings, and, well, they got slammed too:

Shifra, this story just made my day. Glad to see Israelis haven’t fallen asleep. Thank you for this and all of your other posts on TammyBruce.com

It’s nice that some “get it”, but my general sense remains that most American secular Jews, given the choice between Moses (R) and Hitler (D) would choose…well, you get the idea. They’ll ignore this (or blame it all on Netanyahu) just as they ignored Obama’s long love-fest with Rev. “BDS-Zionism-is-racism” Wright. Shifra, I wish I were wrong about that, but I don’t think so.
