wonder-woman

It appears that Wonder Woman is not a good role model for women and girls after all, due to her “impossible proportions.”

But I wonder if Wonder Woman was axed because actress Gal Gadot is a proud citizen of Israel.

Her name, btw, is pronounced “Gahl,” and means “ocean wave.”

Wonder Woman’s battle for equality for women and girls at the United Nations has come to a untimely end.

The scantily clad, curvaceous comic book superhero has had her appointment as a United Nations honorary ambassador cut in less than two months following protests.

A United Nations spokesman said the character’s role at the 193-member state organization would end on Friday despite plans for Wonder Woman to be used in an empowerment campaign for women and girls into 2017.

The move came after the Oct 21 appointment of the superhero to fight for gender equality sparked heavy criticism, with nearly 45,000 people signing an online petition asking UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to reconsider selection of the character.

“Although the original creators may have intended Wonder Woman to represent a strong and independent ‘warrior’ woman with a feminist message, the reality is that the character’s current iteration is that of a large breasted, white woman of impossible proportions,” the petition read….

Can we please drop the UN instead? The one good thing I like about Trump’s Nikki Haley pick to the UN is the fact that she’s a woman, and a Native American. Wonder Woman is a symbol of grace, love, justice, power, freedom, etc. She has been a most excellent role model for young girls and boys for generations, and not just in America. Clearly, the haters at the UN never wanted this Western symbol of freedom and “girl power” to begin with, and the “protesters” gave them the out they needed to get rid of her. No worries, when the feature film drops on June 2nd next year, Wonder Woman will be everywhere. As a yuge Wonder Woman fan, I. Can’t. Wait.

Get ready, Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman…

Wonder Woman was an overreach for representing the UN. I hear that The Joker and Poison Ivy are available January 21st.

  3. Where do they come up with this stuff? I have been watching the “Batman vs Superman” movie on HBO which also features Gadot and do not think she is “impossibly proportioned” at all. On the contrary, she seems like a normal person from what I can tell, neither overweight nor too thin. Oh, and the movie is pretty good too.
