Wow, what a year! So much bad news but for most of us it ended on a hopeful note.

Now Christmas and Hanukkah are upon us, and it’s the best time to genuinely reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. We think it’s obvious, but after the intensity of the last year we’ve, in part, been distracted and torn away from the things that matter– like friends, family, and a gentle (or at least less frantic) life.

With the trouble our country and the world face after 8 years of deliberate neglect, we know the coming years will not be easy, but they can be better with purpose, determination, those we love and even a bit more love for ourselves.

With that in mind, I’ll repeat a bit of last year’s message, because it’s more relevant than ever: This is the time to remember that faith, principles and values matter; that the future is worth fighting for; that prayer is powerful; that miracles happen; that friends and family are important; that empathy for those with whom we disagree matters; and that something bigger than us is in charge.

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah everyone! Thank you for your support, for helping to save the world, and for being this orphan’s extended family. May God bless you and may all your dreams come true!
