Let’s see:
The members of the 2017 Human Rights Council (Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, China, Cuba, Iraq, Qatar, Burundi, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates) engage in amputating arms of suspected thieves, treating women as “property,” throwing gays off rooftops, beheadings, torture, “disappearances” and execution of political opponents.
But Israel is constructing apartments on land that had been in Jewish hands two thousand years ago.
Oh, the “horror”…
HT Twitchy.

The UN Human Rights Council. Or UN "Human Rights" Council. Another sick joke from an obsolete organization. https://t.co/U22YtL3yc9

@UNHumanRights Not such a sterling record, hey. But, nice graphics and lovely, lovely sentiment. Go, you!

If this isn’t a most valid reason to leave the UN, then, I ask you, what is?
Congress should defund the UN, US should pull out, and be done with it.
Agree with leaving/cutting funds to the UN. One thing that can be done is to change the rules that member country travel is paid for by the member countries, no exceptions. The way it is today, if you are deemed to be a country in need (poor), your travel is paid by the UN (USA 22%), but if you’re not in need (rich, USA etc.) then you pay for your own travel. When Cuba and Venezuela has to start paying for their members’ travel, you’ll see them cut back on staff and travel.
(This is because of colonial guilt and the globalist thought that to ensure equal participation by all countries, payments must be made accordingly to level the field.)
