A “trivial detail.”

But if the story was about a “Republican” senator, the word Republican would be in the headline…with “Conservative” thrown in too.

And probably in every sentence of the article.

Via Daily Caller.

The New York Times published an almost 1300-word news story in Tuesday’s paper about Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez’s corruption trial, without ever mentioning Menendez’s party affiliation.

Both in print and on social media, the NYT failed to inform its readers that Sen. Menendez is a Democrat….

The paper referred to him as ” The senator,” “Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey,” and “Mr. Menendez, a senior senator,” before referring to him as “Mr. Menendez” or “the senator” for the rest of the story. Only after a barrage of online criticism did the NYT note that Menendez is a Democrat, adding in the identifier in the fourth paragraph….

Media mention that this is the first Senator tried for bribery in 26 years. Well, Republican Senator Ted Stevens was convicted of ‘corruption’ in 2008. Overturned in 2009 for prosecutorial misconduct. Not sure if that 26 years claim is splitting hairs between bribery and corruption or not considering due to being overturned. But it does seem to be written to memory hole the Ted Stevens prosecution which was Democrat political warfare. (I think the 26 years refers back to the Keating 5 scandal.)

Menendez was opposed to Obama Iran and Cuba policies. That is why he is being prosecuted. Trump Time for some “The Art of the Deal” negotiation. The liberal media always does its best to hide corruption in democratic party and like in this article intentionally omits Menendez’s party affiliation.
