These are the same people who melt down over the idea of a simple voter ID here at home because, they claim, it would restrict voting. When it comes to the military, however, their actual goal is to make it more difficult for our troops to vote. They have no shame, and they’re so desperate now they’re not even trying to hide their agenda.

After years of accusing states of voter suppression, the Center for American Progress, citing election security, wants to make voting tougher for Americans serving overseas in the military.

The left-wing public policy group issued a report Monday, “Election Security in All 50 States,” that called for stricter standards to prevent cybermeddling in elections by foreign governments, including banning military stationed abroad from submitting ballots via email or fax.

One state that allows such vote casting is Colorado. The center called on the state to “prohibit voters stationed or living overseas from returning voted ballots electronically.”

“Regardless of the state’s secure ballot return system for electronically voted ballots, we recommend that all voted ballots be returned by mail or delivered in person,” said the 245-page report.

Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams defended the practice, saying the state has incorporated safeguards to protect the integrity of ballots cast by military personnel living overseas.

“They don’t believe someone who works on a submarine should be allowed to vote. We do,” the Republican said in a statement.

So CAP is praising Pres. Trump for having established a Voter Fraud Commission and recommends that States cooperate?

On a different voting issue, Sen. Tammy Duckworth is saying that ‘technically’ she can’t cast a congressional vote while on maternity leave. Well Yes. Because you’re on Leave. If a citizen is on ML from a company, she can’t come in 1 day and say I’m working for 4 hrs. today, off tom’w, in for 2 hrs. the next day, etc. That would ruin a company’s plans for worker replacement. (Liberals want business to give workers a month notice om changing their work hrs. Workers shouldn’t be able to tell companies on a daily basis what their hrs. will be.) Finally, a law that applies to Congress equally. Duckworth wants Congress exempted from that. It’s just ‘technical’.

This is not new. There were attacks on the military voting during the Civil War. The crucial military vote won Lincoln his second term.
