House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) published a “fact check” of a tweet by President Donald Trump, claiming Monday was his 500th in office.
In her website blog post Tuesday, “Fact Check: President Trump’s First 501 Days,” Pelosi calls out Trump for being a day off in his counting:
“On what was actually his 501st day in office, President Trump celebrated with a self-congratulatory tweet touting the ‘Best Economy & Jobs EVER.’”
Pelosi’s fact-check disputed Trump’s “Best Economy and Jobs EVER” claim by noting that unemployment is only at an 18-year low, GDP growth isn’t as high as it was in the 1960s and 1970s, and wage growth was higher in the 1960s and mid-1980’s….
