A confessed co-conspirator of the September 11th attacks went on a hunger strike to protest the so-called religious “torture” he was receiving at the hands of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Zacarias Moussaoui, who is currently serving six life sentences for his role in the 2001 terrorist attacks, wrote three letters to federal magistrate judge Michael Hegarty announcing his hunger strike, which he said commenced on June 22, reported the Denver Post.

Moussaoui began the strike after the clock in his prison cell block was taken away. Without the clock, Moussaoui, a devout Muslim, is not able to pray the required five times each day, which he asserted is tantamount to torture.

He also claimed that the FBI was targeting him by capping his commissary spending to only $10 and thereby blocking him from purchasing a watch or adequate winter clothing, according to the Denver Post….
