CNN’s Acosta Is Accused of ‘Performance Journalism.’ Pic Backfires ‘Bigly’

On Tuesday, Todd Purdum wrote on op-ed in The Atlantic, accusing CNN’s chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta of contributing to the “debased ritual of performance art that the White House briefing has become.”

The next day, Acosta went on the Colbert Show, to tell the world that he “doesn’t want to be the story.”

And tweeted a photo of himself…demonstrating how badly Jim Acosta wants to be *the* story.
