A horrible day for humanity. The ADL believes this is the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the U.S.”

At this point, 11 have been killed, with multiple wounded including several police officers. Here is the latest.

Eleven people have been killed and a number of others injured after a shooting at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday.

Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources confirmed that eleven people were dead. He was reportedly armed with an AR-15 and two handguns.

The initial call to 911 was made around 9:54 a.m. and officers were dispatched to the scene within a minute.

When officers arrived, the gunman reportedly shot at them, forcing officers to use their vehicles as a shield.

He also credited the first responders with preventing this from being a bigger tragedy than it already is.

President Trump has responded:

President Trump said that the suspect responsible for killing and injuring multiple people and police officers at a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday “should get the death penalty,” saying the suspect should “pay the ultimate price.”

Speaking to reporters ahead of boarding Air Force One, Trump addressed the “devastating” shooting that occurred Saturday morning at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, which is predominantly Jewish…

“People who do this should get the death penalty,” Trump said. “I think they should stiffen up laws and I think they should very much bring the death penalty to anybody who does a thing like this to innocent people.”

…The death penalty is legal in Pennsylvania, though current Gov. Tom Wolf halted the process when he took office in 2015. The last person executed under the death penalty in Pennsylvania was in 1999–the first since 1962.

Trump was asked about tighter gun laws, which he discounted, saying they had “little to do with it.”

“If they had protection inside, the results would have been far better. If they had some kind of protection inside the temple, maybe it could have been a very much different situation,” Trump said. “They didn’t have protection. They had a maniac walk in and they didn’t have any protection.”

He added: “If there was an armed guard inside the temple they would have been able to stop him.”

The maniac’s social media makes clear he’s a aacist and Jew-hater, hates Trump and complained that POTUS is “controlled by Jews.” But that didn’t stop the Trump Derangement Syndrome media and liberals from trying to blame… Trump.

This makes me feel sick to my stomach. That such evil could go unnoticed until it explodes and destroys innocents at prayer. The ultimate evil had to be the masacre at a celebration of new life. A child, 8 days old, brought before God and family and friends. Such joy, only to be replaced by death and mourning. This will be a life changing event, and my prayer is that all those touched today will come through stronger and convinced that good will find a way to bring justice and peace. May we all stand together and shout NEVER AGAIN.
