Poor Ben Rhodes. Remember how “shell-shocked” he seemed after hearing that Donald Trump won the election?
Should we concerned that his memory has perhaps been affected by the “trauma” of that night?
Former Obama national security staffer Ben Rhodes took a shot at the US policy of supporting Saudi Arabia in the ongoing civil war in Yemen:
Important point. There is literally no reason for the US to support a policy that has failed to achieve any objective and is risking millions with famine – no one is even mounting a credible argument for this inhumane approach so there is no reason for congress to take a pass https://t.co/IFk4gBjwUQ

This is pretty damning. Let’s help Saudi Arabia destroy Yemen so they aren’t pissed we’re negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran. You think Chris Hayes will tell the story how we got here or just that Trump/Saudi destroyed Yemen. pic.twitter.com/g2Ozv484Ac

Speaking of Yemen; Republican Rep. Massie wanted to introduce a resolution in Sept. on getting out of Yemen per a vote under the War Powers Act. But Ryan attached to bill removing grey wolves from endangered list, an item that says the War Powers Act does not apply to Yemen. Then post-election, Ryan got passed an item that says the War Powers Act does not apply to Any resolution during this Congress. so Trump can invade any country right now and a War Powers Act vote can’t be brought until new Congress, Jan. 3. Ryan’s idea of leadership. Haven’t heard anything in major media or from Dems about War Powers Act being suspended. Btw, it was passed in 1973 with 2/3 vote of both House and Senate because Nixon had vetoed it. What UniParty?
