Critics have reacted with scorn to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reenacting her infamous State of the Union applause alongside celebrities Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom at a Los Angeles gala.
Pelosi was all laughs as she chatted with the singer and her actor beau at the MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Dolly Parton at Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday.
The three could be seen doing the clap from the viral moment, with the speaker’s husband – Paul – the only one who didn’t do the applause.
Pelosi’s stilted clapping quickly became an iconic moment from the State of the Union at the Capitol building on Tuesday – though she denied it was intended as a slight to President Donald Trump….

How petty and desperate are these lefties that they have to cling to a pathetic clapping photo? I was at work and some stupid rich lefty shoved his phone in my face with this photo. As if I would automatically agree with him. I said nothing because I am professional. But, this arrogance really pisses me off. Things are finally getting better for the working and middle classes, which includes me and my family. Is the left saying that growing economy and job creation are something to sarcastically clap about? The SOTU had an overwhelming positive message- the president touted the fantastic economic climate, deregulation and the elimination of the obamacare penalty. The left is so out of touch, they can go ahead and clap like snotty fools. It’s just another sign of their shallowness and narcissism.
