Kamala Harris claims she didn’t hear the man’s comments, so why is she apologizing?

And why would she compliment the questioner’s statement (“Well said!”) if she did not fully hear him?

Via WaPo.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., claimed Saturday that she didn’t hear an audience member at a New Hampshire town hall Friday call President Trump “mentally retarded” and apologized for laughing after the comment.

“When my staff played the video from my town hall yesterday, it was upsetting,” Harris tweeted Saturday. “I didn’t hear the words the man used in that moment, but if I had I would’ve stopped and corrected him. I’m sorry. That word and others like it aren’t acceptable. Ever.”

Audience member: “What are you going to do in the next one year to diminish the mentally retarded actions of this guy?”

Harris: “Well said.” (Giggles.) “Well said. Well, I plan to win this election, I’ll tell you that.”….

Well said, Shifra, well said! 🙂

Hey, I think this could become the new meme: Whenever someone says something and you’d like to respond ludicrously, respond with, “Well said! Well said!”

But seriously…Maybe I’m a jerk, but I’d rather be tossing around those colloquial insults which everyone understands are goofy and hyperbolic, as opposed to the oh-so-sincere accusations of racist, Nazi, whatever, that are so casually thrown around today. The problem on display here isn’t the word used, it’s the hypocrisy, and we see it in the entire cheering mob at Kamela’s event. Likewise, I recently saw an ultra-liberal FB friend post a gay-shaming slur of Lindsey Graham.

Someone summarized it this way: “Trump’s greatest gift is getting various institutions to make clear in obvious ways that they’re as corrupt as he says they are.”
