So the details seem to be done, but as I noted on Twitter, they’ll make lots of money w books, personal appearances, speeches, selling socks & scarves, and whatever Hollywood offers. But what happens when they find out being a part of the royal family wasn’t at the core of their unhappiness? We shall see…

One thing of interest to note: If anything went wrong with the relationship and they remained based in England, Markle would likely never be able to leave the country with her children, he/they would need to stay in the UK. Who would have complete custody of the great grandchildren of the Queen (and grandchildren of the next king) would also likely be an issue.

With this new situation, if the family ends up official residents in the United States, Markle would maintain control of the children involved, one or more, no matter the status of the marriage. Just saying. After his mother’s death, I hope this move doesn’t ultimately do more damage to that man’s psyche.

Via US Sun:

Buckingham Palace today revealed the details of Megxit tonight, but didn’t directly address the issue of who will pay for their security.

This new arrangement is expected to be rolled out in this spring, meaning they will be carrying out royal engagements and Meghan will be returning to the UK until that time.

In a statement it was announced the royal couple will repay the £2.4million spent on Frogmore Cottage and it “will remain their UK family home”.

It is understood Prince Charles will continue to privately fund for the upkeep of their home, but it is not clear if it will be through his Duchy of Cornwall coffers.

Last year, Prince Harry and Prince William shared about £5million, and £2.3million of that went to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry and Meghan will “no longer receive public funds for Royal duties” as they are stepping back as senior royals.

The couple will now be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and “will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family”.

Remembering the talk about Diana doing damage to the Royal Family, she really didn’t. Meghan, I fear is.

OK, if The Prince of Wales, Charles, his father, had given Harry good, firm and very long talks about the Royal Family(duties, expectations, etc) and disciplined him when he was a very young man, none of this would have happened. And his older brother, William didn’t help much either as I’ve observed over the years. But it did. So I wish them well, but if I never hear about them again, it will be too soon; but that’s wishful thinking too…

    God Save The Queen~!
