Voter Fraud In Louisiana?
by dachiemama on December 4, 2014**Bumped Up From TAMWire. Posted By dachiemama** Voter fraud encouraged in Louisiana. Republican-turned Senator Elbert Guillory talks about it and shows video. Via Townhall.com: Guy Benson — Louisiana Democrat: Vote Multiple Times, You Won’t Be Prosecuted Who’s up for a fresh addition to the ever-expanding “voter fraud is a Republican myth” file? Democratic officials and campaign operatives have been caught on tape encouraging illegal voting on several occasions in recent election cycles, and anti-voter ID activists have literally cheered a swing-state poll worker who was convicted of the practice. Our latest installment comes to us from the Bayou State and features a Democratic mayor and former State Senator, who dispensed some pro tips on voting at a rally in advance...

Gun Law Off Target
by Pat_S on November 19, 2014The state of Washington passed a gun law in the recent election which is already having unintended consequences. With the passage of Initiative I-594, background checks are required, with few exceptions, for all sales or transfers of firearms. A small museum, the Lynden Pioneer Museum, is currently displaying World War II-era rifles which are on loan to the museum from collectors. The exhibit was to run through May 1, 2015. After reading the text of the law many times, the museum director decided the rifles have to be returned to their owners before December 4. That’s when the law goes into effect. As the law is written the director believes the museum would have to do background checks on the...

Dems, The Midterm Election, And The Five Stages Of Loss And Grief
by Shifra on November 7, 2014In her 1969 book, “On Death and Dying,” Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross describes the five stages of grief and mourning: Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. For ‘We The People’ It’s *Morning* in America, For NYT It’s *Mourning*
by Shifra on November 5, 2014Once upon a time, the New York Times was known as the “Paper of Record.” Now, it’s known as the newspaper best used as birdcage lining. Or for wrapping fish. Today’s NYT Editorial: Negativity Wins the Senate Republicans would like the country to believe that they took control of the Senate on Tuesday by advocating a strong, appealing agenda of job creation, tax reform and spending cuts. But, in reality, they did nothing of the sort. Even the voters who supported Republican candidates would have a hard time explaining what their choices are going to do. That’s because virtually every Republican candidate campaigned on only one thing: what they called the failure of President Obama. In speech after speech, ad...

Landslide! Republicans Take Control
by Tammy on November 4, 2014Mia Love, 4th Congressional District Republican candidate, is congratulated by her father, Maxime Bourdeau, as she declares victory on election night in Salt Lake City, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. (Ravell Call, Deseret News) What a beautiful picture. It sums up this entire evening for all of us! Yes, we did it. It was the Night of the Crushing. A victory not just for Republicans but for the country and all those around the world who rely on genuine American leadership. The party is over the Democrats and Obama’s desire to continue to inflict damage upon this country now at least can be slowed or even stopped. If the GOP does its job. That’s where we come in. So the work...

White House Planning To Change Staff, But Not Failed Policies
by Shifra on November 3, 2014Why in the world would the Obama Regime want to replace anyone? Didn’t Susan (“Youtube”) Rice, Jen (“Russians targeting me because of my outfits”) Psaki, Marie (“Um, can I get back to you on that?”) Harf, and the rest of ‘em, all do *fab* work? And, as the IBD notes, how about changing failed policies instead of staff? Via Investor’s Business Daily: Replacing Obama Team Wouldn’t Replace Failed Ideas ….With a new crisis or fiasco or scandal appearing seemingly every other week, from the Islamic State to Ebola, the New York Times on Wednesday said it all raises “inevitable questions about the ability of the president” and his subordinates “to manage and somehow get ahead of the daily onslaught of...

Campus Food Pantries Feed Hungry Students: Welcome to Obama’s America!
by Shifra on October 14, 2014Well, thank goodness the country is now better off than ever before. And how do I know this? Because POTUS said so. I mean, he wouldn’t lie, or anything, would he? POTUS did admit, though, that people are “not feeling it.” So I guess the students who rely on food pantries for basic needs have not gotten the “we are better off now” memo. Or maybe they are just not feeling it… Via Wall Street Journal: Melanie Grayce West — Food Pantries Grow on New York Campuses (Article in full can be read via Food News) Tucked on the fringes of Kingsborough Community College’s campus in Brooklyn’s Manhattan Beach, walled off from the corner of a computer lab, sits a...

“Scary” Alert==>Paul Krugman: GOP Trying to Take Us Back to 1894!
by Shifra on September 9, 2014Paul Krugman is a NY Times columnist, Nobel laureate in economics, and huge whiner about income inequality. Btw, Krugman is getting $25,000 a month from CUNY (City University of NY) to “play a modest role” in CUNY’s public events. He will not be required to teach any courses. Nice money, if you can get it…. (But Slate.com wants you to know that there is nothing hypocritical in Krugman’s screaming about income inequality and his getting paid big bucks for doing…not so much.) Last week, he shared the stage at CUNY (pronounced “Q-nee”) with Sen. Elizabeth (Fauxcahontas) Warren. Via Breitbart: Krugman: GOP Wants To Push Us Back To 1894 Paul Krugman, while discussing the U.S. Supreme Court’s “Hobby Lobby” decision, said...

Obama Lifts Ban On Libyans Attending U.S. Flight Schools, Nuclear Studies
by Shifra on August 25, 2014pic h/t: northsuburbanrepublicanforum.org It looks like this story, besides a few news outlets, seems to have flown under the radar. (pun not intended) Via Investor’s Business Daily: 8/15/14 – Andrew Malcolm — Obama lifts ban on Libyans attending flight school, studying nuclear science here Remember the aftermath of 9/11 when investigators made the chilling discovery that American flight instructors had unwittingly taught the Arab hijackers how to fly jumbo jets like the ones they plowed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, killing some 3,000 innocents? And how one of the dumber hijackers had raised suspicions, letting slip that he had no intention of seeking a pilot’s license? But, you might not be surprised to learn, Washington wasn’t really into...

Report From Mississippi: Haley Barbour Meets With Julian Castro On Amnesty
by dachiemama on August 13, 2014**Bumped up from TAM Wire. Posted by dachiemama** Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, who, with his son, Henry, was behind all of the racist attacks on state Senator Chris McDaniel, is now collaborating with Julian Castro. A popular, two-term governor, Barbour provided leadership to the state after Hurricane Katrina, but at the end of his second term, he left many people in Mississippi with a bad taste in their mouths after he pardoned a number of convicted felons, one of whom killed his wife on a public street shortly after being released. McDaniel lost to Barbour-backed Thad Cochran in the Republican primary after the Barbours enlisted the help of Democrats in a runoff for the Senate race on June 24...

Reflections on the Carr vs. Alexander Tennessee Race
by Rob_W on August 11, 2014**Bumped Up From TAM Wire. Posted By Rob_W** While the election results were heartbreaking, there is much to be encouraged, and yes, even energized about. We did not win, but we are winning. Senator Lamar Alexander did not run away with this election, as most predicted he would. He was forced to buy the election, spending $7 million. He resorted to last minute robo-calls in which he falsely claimed his vote for Senate Bill 744 was a vote against amnesty. In spite of all of this, he could only capture 49.7% of the vote. The award for the tackiest campaign commercial goes to Mike Huckabee, who had nerve to lecture Tennesseans on being loyal to Alexander and threaten us by...

College Professors *Shocked* How Obamacare Hurts Them
by Shifra on July 29, 2014Uh oh, looks like some Lib chickens are coming home to roost. Via Investor’s Business Daily: Professors Suddenly Don’t Like ObamaCare Either After years of singing the praises of universal health care, college professors are now shocked at how badly it has turned out — for them. Adjunct professors are steamed at the way their employers are interpreting the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate, which forces them to cover full-time but not part-time workers. Typical of liberals, they blame their employers instead of the job-killing law they supported. Starting Jan. 1, ObamaCare makes employers offer all full-time workers health insurance or pay a fine. In response, hundreds of colleges have simply cut instructors’ course loads to dodge coverage. Others are...
