Cantor Beaten by a Brat: Listen Up Elites, We Are Serious About Change in DC!
by Patricia on June 11, 2014Ahhh the taste of sweet justice! Eric Cantor believed he could change his liberal narrative long enough to win another re-election bid in Virginia. Cantor spent millions and Dave Brat spent thousands to win the Republican nomination for the House of Representatives in the 2014 election. I can only imagine John Boehner’s reaction to losing his side-kick to … an unknown … Brat! There will be a bunch of those pesky true conservatives kicking up the dust in 2014 and 2016. To those of you in Washington who think they are dug in – beware of the true power in America – We the People! Congratulations to Dave Brat; let’s support him and other candidates like him. Via Fox News: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor loses Virginia GOP primary House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has been defeated by a tea party-backed challenger in the Republican primary. Economics professor Dave Brat won a stunning upset victory against Cantor on Tuesday in the 7th District Republican primary contest, which is in the Richmond area. His loss to a political novice with little money marks a huge victory for the tea party movement, which supported Cantor just a few years ago. by Tammy on June 9, 2014Most of us see a wave election for the Republicans in November, but an important element to weave into our assessment is the work of Nate Silver. Here’s his latest in how the fight for the senate is shaping up. You’ll see how our work has never been more important and why we should take nothing for granted. I’ve included a snippet; do click through and read the entire analysis. FiveThirtyEight: Senate Forecast: Toss-Up or Tilt GOP? We last issued a U.S. Senate forecast in mid-March. Not a lot has changed since then. The Senate playing field remains fairly broad. There are 10 races where we give each party at least a 20 percent chance of winning,1 so there is...

Video: Nate Silver of 538: GOP Has 60% Chance Of Taking The Senate In 2014
by Tammy on March 24, 2014A lot of conservatives were mad at Nate Silver when he predicted the Obama re-election in 2012. Well, he was right. Let’s hope he’s still right. Breitbart has a story up now about how the Democrats are “livid” at his projection. They should actually be livid– at themselves and their Cult of the Jackass. New HHS Rules: Have You Ever Been Bitten By A Turkey? Or Hit By A Kayak?
by Shifra on March 5, 2014Yes, another nail in the coffin of our once-best health care system in the world. And this is yet another reason why we must take back the Senate and keep the House in November, and make POTUS quack like a lame duck. Via Investor’s Business Daily: New Rule Creates Avalanche Of Time-Wasting Paperwork For Doctors Were you hit by a falling kayak? Injured while baking, vacuuming or spending too much time in a deep freeze? Encountered a lamppost for the second time? Were you bitten by a turkey? Never fear, the ICD-10 is here. Obama Regime Placing Government Monitors In Newsrooms
by Tammy on February 19, 2014Stalin would be proud. And of course the irony here is if you Google this issue you’ll see lots of blog coverage but only a couple of mainstream media organizations reporting are on the fact that the Fed is sending people into newsrooms to pressure them into certain types of news coverage. You see, Obama’s Gestapos have decided they know what news you need to hear. This is just a tad strange considering most newsrooms are already in Obama’s pocket. But give Dear Leader and inch and he’ll take a mile… Via ACLJ. The Obama Administration’s Federal Communication Commission (FCC) is poised to place government monitors in newsrooms across the country in an absurdly draconian attempt to intimidate and control...

IRS Trying To Formalize Draconian Rules Targeting Tea Party Groups
by Tammy on January 8, 2014Freedomworks reveals an attempt by the IRS to secretly codify rules which would formalize harassing scrutiny of Tea Party groups. Here’s their video and background. Action: We need you to register your opposition by commenting at the IRS page. All the details follow. Via FreedomWorks. FreedomWorks activists will submit testimony in protest of proposed Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines that would restrict the political activities allowed by tax-exempt 501(c) (4) organizations. The proposed changes would expand the already unchecked discretionary power of the IRS, and institutionalize the agency’s targeted harassment of conservative and libertarian non-profits in recent years. In a video to the organization’s membership, FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe explained: “While you were all celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends,...

Video: ‘Keep Your Doctor, Change Your Senator’
by Tammy on January 5, 2014An excellent slogan from a new campaign ad for Dr. Monica Wehby, who’s running against entrenched Senate Democrat Jeff Merkley of Oregon. Considering the disaster of ObamaCare/Cover Oregon , this is exactly the message to send. Via Weekly Standard. Democrat Jeff Merkley of Oregon probably isn’t the first sitting senator Republicans think they can defeat this November. After beating incumbent Republican Gordon Smith in 2008 by 3 percentage points, Merkley appears safe in his seat. In 2012 Oregon voted for Barack Obama by more than 12 points, and the Cook Political Report rates the Senate race as “solid Democratic.” Merkley is a dedicated liberal who fits a state increasingly defined by its biggest city, the insufferably hip and progressive Portland....

Open Letter to Leftist Alice Walker, Who’s “Depressed About America”
by Shifra on January 1, 2014Dear Ms. Walker: As an avid reader of the Wall Street Journal, I particularly enjoy their column “Notable & Quotable,” since their selections are usually very enlightening. So, at first, I was taken aback when they published an excerpt from your end-of-year blog: Alice Walker gives thanks to Julian Assange and Noam Chomsky. But I did find it enlightening. I had previously thought that you were just another Jew-hating, Israel-bashing second-rate writer. I mean, I remember how you begged Alicia Keyes not to go ahead with her Tel Aviv concert last summer. I’m so glad Alicia ignored you. She played to a sold-out crowd, opening with “Ma koreh, Tel Aviv?” (“What’s happening, Tel Aviv?”) and I heard she nearly brought...
