by Shifra on July 10, 2017Thank you, Captain Obvious, er, University of Missouri. Via Free Beacon. Freshman enrollment at the University of Missouri has fallen by 35 percent since 2015, when racial tensions triggered protests and hunger strikes. The administration at the University of Missouri—commonly called Mizzou—has publicly stated that the decline in enrollment is a backlash from the 2015 protests and families associating the university with racism and anarchical protests, the New York Times reported. “The general consensus was that it was because of the aftermath of what happened in November 2015,” said Mun Choi, the new system president, referring to the climax of the demonstrations. “There were students from both in state and out of state that just did not apply, or those...

Student Accepted at Yale After Writing about Her Love for Pizza
by Shifra on May 28, 2017I bet I could get into Yale Law School by submitting my cheesecake recipe. It’s really good. Via Circa. The dreaded personal statement and/or college statement often include questions like, “Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?” and “What personal experiences helped shape who you are?” Instead of adding extra pressure to an already anxiety-producing process, Carolina Williams chose to write about what she loves: ordering pizza from Papa John’s. That passion was well-received by Yale University’s admission’s office–so much, in fact, it landed her an acceptance letter to the Ivy League school, The Tennessean reported. Campus Lunacy: Racially Segregated Housing, Course on Lady Gaga
by Shifra on August 25, 2016Yes, let’s segregate students on the basis of race, and offer such riveting courses as: “Recreational tree climbing” – Cornell U. “Lady Gaga and the Sociology of the Fame” — S. The association said in its...
