Obama’s Human Shield Resigns. Shinseki Out at VA.
by Tammy on May 30, 2014If Obama had his way Shinseki would have stayed and stayed and stayed. Now the spotlight is on Obama, and if he handles the rest of the debacle the way he handled this morning’s press conference, he’s in a world of trouble he never could have imagined. Fox News: Shinseki resigns over growing VA scandal President Obama announced Friday that embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki would take the fall for the rapidly growing scandal over veterans’ health care, accepting his resignation under pressure from members of both parties. The president announced that Shinseki would resign after they met at the White House and he received an update on an internal review of the problems at the VA. The review...

Another Fed Target==> Fruit Juice
by Shifra on May 5, 2014The Federal Trade Commission is going after Pom Wonderful for the ad claiming that drinking their pomegranate juice could help you “cheat death.” Although this case sounds frivolous, as the WSJ points out in their editorial, Warning: Contains Juice ….The Pom case would establish a precedent that could hold food industry health claims to a standard similar to what the Food and Drug Administration uses for pharmaceuticals. …the commission said any health claims had to be buttressed by two randomized clinical trials… of the kind required for, say, cancer drugs. Such trials are so costly that the requirement essentially bars a company from discussing emerging science on the health effects of their products. ….In 1984 the FDA criticized Kellogg for...

New Fed Target==> Breweries
by Shifra on April 17, 2014For some inexplicable reason, the Feds have now decided to go after the beer industry. And even if you are not a big beer drinker, this will negatively impact all of us: The Feds are proposing to institute new regulations on the “spent grains” (barley, wheat and other grains that are left over after being soaked in hot water) that the breweries sell to farmers, who are able to obtain feed for their livestock at reasonable cost. Via Fox News: Regulation Nation: Breweries fight back against new government grain rules ….For centuries, brewers have given or sold the leftover grain from the brewing process to local ranchers and dairy farmers for cattle feed. But new regulations proposed by the Food...

The Hobby Lobby Case And The Future Of Religious Freedom
by Shifra on April 9, 2014The Democrats would have you believe that the Hobby Lobby case now before the Supreme Court is really about the Republican “War on Women” and their attempt to deny women access to birth control. However, like almost everything coming out of the Democrats’ mouths lately, this is a vicious lie. No one is denying anyone access to birth control. Under Obamacare, health insurance plans must cover all F.D.A.-approved contraception. The Green family, owners of Hobby Lobby, face millions of dollars in fines if they do not provide abortion-inducing birth control, which is in violation of their Christian faith. And Hobby Lobby employees are free to purchase their own abortion-inducing birth control, if they so choose. The real issue at stake...

by Shifra on April 7, 2014Yes, more of our taxes dollars, up in smoke, hard at work. As reported in Washington Free Beacon, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) has released an audit last week, and apparently, millions of dollars were spent on unused computer software. ….In response to the audit, the IRS argued it did not waste $11.6 million. The agency admitted it did not use 5 of the 11 products, and said it had “no obligation to pay for them.” However, TIGTA reported that when discussing the products with the agency, IRS management “agreed that these 11 products were paid for and were never deployed.” The IRS could not provide documentation to back up their claim, TIGTA said. The IRS could...

Feds Spend $4.8M To Dress Students Up As Fruits & Vegetables
by Shifra on March 18, 2014Yes, our tax dollars, hard at work: “Fruved” – as in FRUits/VEgetables… Get it? And the “Get Fruved” website has such an oh-so-clever tagline: “You can go fruve yourself.” Via The Daily Caller: Feds spend millions dressing creepy students up as fruits, vegetables The federal government gave nearly $5 million to the University of Tennessee in support of its creepy healthy-eating campaign, which dresses students up as fruits and vegetables and films them terrorizing the residence halls. It’s called “Get Fruved.” The campaign already has a website and YouTube account, where it has posted several “Get Fruved” videos. The videos feature college students disguised as various fruits and vegetables, such as grapes and carrots. In one video, the male students...

New HHS Rules: Have You Ever Been Bitten By A Turkey? Or Hit By A Kayak?
by Shifra on March 5, 2014Yes, another nail in the coffin of our once-best health care system in the world. And this is yet another reason why we must take back the Senate and keep the House in November, and make POTUS quack like a lame duck. Via Investor’s Business Daily: New Rule Creates Avalanche Of Time-Wasting Paperwork For Doctors Were you hit by a falling kayak? Injured while baking, vacuuming or spending too much time in a deep freeze? Encountered a lamppost for the second time? Were you bitten by a turkey? Never fear, the ICD-10 is here. Starting this October, your doctor will be required to record precisely whether you were bitten or struck by a parrot, macaw, chicken, turkey, or any “other...

Gibson Settles Case With Feds, Creates ‘Gov’t Series’ Guitars With Seized Wood
by Rob_W on February 13, 2014**Bumped up from TamWire. Posted by Rob_W** When life gives you lemons, make guitars! We all remember the Obama gestapo raid on Gibson Guitar over a Lacey Act technicality regarding the import of exotic wood. Watchdog.org noted that Gibson’s CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, donates to Republican candidates (just a coincidence, I’m sure), while competitor, Martin Guitar’s CEO donates heavily to Democrats. Martin Guitar uses the same wood, but was never visited by Federal agents. Another amazing coincidence! Gibson Guitar got most of its stolen wood back after paying a federal extortion fee of $300,000 and contributing $50,000 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. In the great American spirit of capitalism, the famous material is now part of the “Government Series”...

State Dept. Spokeperson: Clueless in DC
by Shifra on January 16, 2014Yesterday, a reporter asked Marie Harf, State Dept Spokesperson, about China’s recent test of a hypersonic missile system. Here’s her response: via Washington Free Beacon: State Spox Has No Clue About China’s Hypersonic Delivery Missile Test What is — that’s interesting. Hypersonic — I don’t know what that is. She had no clue. Strange; I knew about it. Because I read the Washington Free Beacon on Monday, when Bill Gertz broke the story. What is really odd is her affect. She kind of sounded like the barista at Starbucks: Houseblend? I don’t know. Um, I can go back and check, though. I’m just wondering: Does anyone in the Obama Regime know anything?

New Obama Lie…er, Promise==> A Year of Action! National Mission! Mobilization ! Jobs!
by Shifra on January 14, 2014When I saw the following article yesterday, two questions came to mind: 1) Who writes this crap Obama’s speeches? 2) Is anyone even listening anymore? via CNS News: Obama Plans to ‘Mobilize’ Americans Around a “National Mission” President Obama says he will use his upcoming State of the Union Address to “mobilize the country around the national mission of making sure our economy offers everyone who works hard a fair shot at opportunity and success.” Mobilization? National mission? (Will we have to wear uniforms?) ….”Working folks are looking for the kind of stable, secure jobs that went overseas in the past couple decades. So next week, I’ll join companies and colleges and take action to boost the high-tech manufacturing that...

John Hinckley Granted More Freedom
by Tammy on December 21, 2013This freak knew exactly what he was doing. Being crazy doesn’t mean you don’t know right from wrong. This is why we execute scum like this so they don’t eventually walk free. Via White House Dossier. The man who tried to assassinate President Reagan in 1981 is now spending more than half his time not incarcerated. HinckleyJohn Hinckley Jr. has been granted permission to walk out of St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Washington – where he’s been receiving treatment since being found not guilty by way of insanity three decades ago – and head to his mother’s hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia for 17 days a month. This is an increase from the 10 days previously permitted monthly. This even though Hinckley,...
