Man Avoids Jail by Faking Illegal Immigrant Status
by Tammy on November 3, 2011Inevitable when exempting some from the Rule of Law is policy. A Utah man who claimed to be an illegal immigrant from Mexico to avoid going to prison is now wanted by police after he returned to the United States and acknowledged his true identity to a judge. Jaime Alvarado, 27, of Salt Lake City, was charged Wednesday in Utah’s 3rd District Court with a second-degree felony for giving false material statements and a misdemeanor charge for giving false personal information to a peace officer. The charges stem from a 2010 arrest when Alvarado told Salt Lake City police, a Utah state courts judge and federal immigration officials that he was actually Saul Quiroz and had emigrated from Mexico illegally....

California Now Allows College Aid to Illegal Aliens
by Tammy on October 8, 2011I have got to get out of here. Just the economic disaster of this is mindboggling. We already have in-state tuition rates for illegals, this is about allowing tax payer funded college aid and loans to illegals, in a state where we are near collapse economically. In other words, there is no freaking money! California Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday signed a bill giving illegal immigrant college students access to state-funded financial aid, the second half of two-part legislation known as the “Dream Act.” The controversial measure, which passed the Democrat-controlled legislature on a party-line vote in September, represents a victory for immigrant-rights activists ahead of the 2012 presidential election. California is the nation’s most populous state. Only two other...

Border Protection Nabs World’s Most Dangerous Pest
by Pat_S on August 25, 2011I marvel at the government’s diligence and tenacity in keeping things and people who don’t belong in the country from staying here. If necessary, Customs and Border Protection will examine every grain of rice coming into this country to stop the world’s most dangerous pest from entering. That would be the Khapra beetle, a tiny insect that can destroy crops. Customs inspectors in Baltimore keep pests out The sweet aroma of rice fills the air as David Ng steps forward in a Southeast Baltimore warehouse to inspect a shipment of hundreds of sacks of imported basmati rice. He folds back the stitched seams of the 40-pound burlap sacks holding grain that have traveled halfway around the world to Baltimore’s Seagirt...

Obama’s New Focus: Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
by Tammy on August 18, 2011Gee, no problem here. Why not let tens of thousands of illegal aliens stay in the United States especially when there are no jobs, no money, gangs are proliferating and ‘flash mob’ violence is the new young-and-unemployed pastime? Make no mistake–this is the beginning of an attempt to give illegal aliens de-facto legal status as ‘having gone through the system’ then hook them up with the so-called DREAM Act, opening the flood gates for full-fledged amnesty. We know the Establishment–both parties and media–have wanted this forever believing ‘the Mexican vote’ is going to save their liberal agenda. They’ve got another think coming, but in the meantime it sure looks like the GOP is giving Obama all the room he wants...

US Supreme Court Upholds AZ’s Immigration Employer Sanctions Law
by Tammy on May 26, 2011This is very good news as the USSC rejected the key Obama administration argument against Arizona–that enforcement of laws against illegal immigration is exclusively in the hands of federal authorities. This ruling affects not on Arizona, of course, but all other states. Here’s some of the coverage: CNN: Supreme Court backs Arizona immigration law that punishes businesses The Supreme Court has backed an Arizona law that punishes businesses hiring illegal immigrants, a law that opponents, including the Obama administration, say steps on traditional federal oversight over immigration matters. The 5-3 ruling Thursday is a victory for supporters of immigration reform on the state level. It was the first high court challenge to a variety of recent state laws cracking down...

AZ Citizens Speak Out Against Obama’s Immigration Remarks
by Artgal on May 18, 2011*For those wishing to contribute to Arizona’s new border fence project, please go to www.keepazsafe.com. On May 8, a fire broke out in Arizona’s Chiricahua Mountains which are located about 130 miles southeast of Tucson. The range is about 50 miles north of the U.S. – Mexico border and surrounded by ranches. It is a quiet, beautiful area featuring campgrounds, country stores, breathtaking scenery complete with a bird watcher’s paradise and hiking trails into mountains that peak around 10,000 feet. For such a seemingly peaceful, vast area, it is also plagued by human and drug trafficking, and it appears the latest fire has been started by those entering this country illegally. A wildfire was started by illegals in the same mountain range this time last year. A little ironic…dontcha think?...

Immigration Bills: How Far is Too Far?
by Artgal on April 11, 2011On St. Patrick’s day, five senate bills regarding immigration went to the floor of the Arizona state house for a vote and failed. With almost lightning speed, Facebook and other social media outlets lit up with the Arizona Delegation (the citizen activists here) responding to the news – quite angrily, I might add. Most of us were puzzled, livid and even embarrassed. My first response was in wondering if so much pressure was coming down from the federal government that we finally ‘found our level’ in the state house. I wrote to my representative in the Arizona State Senate, Frank Antenori, after I called his office asking for clarification. Ultimately, Antenori voted in favor of three bills and voted down two. ...

Obama’s Aunt Zeituni – We Are ‘Obligated’ to Make Her a Citizen
by Pat_S on September 21, 2010A post by Pat Obama’s illegal immigrant Aunt Zeituni has spoken and says we are obligated to make her a citizen because, well because she’s an immigrant. She illegally overstayed her visa, receives welfare and lives in public housing for the last 10 years. Yet, she complains that she, a poor, single black woman was not given help. Later when asked about living in public housing and receiving disability, she said: Aunt Zeituni: ‘The System Took Advantage Of Me’ “I didn’t take any advantage of the system. The system took advantage of me.” Yes, the system sneaks up on people, carts them off to public housing and stuffs checks in their mailbox. “I didn’t ask for it; they gave it...

Colin Powell—We Need Immigrants (to Fix My House)
by Pat_S on September 19, 2010A post by Pat Colin Powell’s invitation to immigrants: Give me your tired able-bodied young, your poor. Send these the cheap day laborers willing to work practically for free. I need repairs to my garage door. Powell warns the Republicans they have to wise up about the immigration issue. The country will go to hell without immigrants not to mention Powell’s house will fall apart. His rationale amounts to ghoulish exploitation. He tells Dick Gregory on Meet the Press: We can’t be anti-immigration. Immigrants are fueling this country. Without immigrants America would be like Europe or Japan with an aging population and no young people coming in to take care of it. We have to educate our immigrants. We have...

Feds Probing Arizona Again — Teacher Hiring
by Pat_S on September 8, 2010A post by Pat This time it’s about the state’s standards for English teachers. Arizona wants them to be fluent in English. The feds assume this is bigotry. Feds probing claims of bias against Arizona’s non-native English speaking teachers The federal government is investigating whether Arizona has discriminated against teachers who are not native English speakers, state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne confirmed Tuesday. The state Department of Education for years has been monitoring English fluency of teachers who instruct English learners, but in April began instructing districts to fire teachers who weren’t proficient in the language. At issue is a push by the state Department of Education to get tough on teachers who lack basic English skills or...

AZ Gov. Brewer’s Moment of Silence
by Tammy on September 3, 2010Last night as I was watching the Fiorina/Boxer debate here in California for our senate seat another debate was underway in Arizona. Governor Jan Brewer faced her opponent Attorney General Terry Goddard in an hour long debate focusing on a number of issues. It’s what happened during the opening remarks, however, that has most people talking. In what was either stage fright or simply a brain freeze, Brewer drew a 13-second blank in the middle of her opening remarks. It is a painful thing to watch, and she has been mercilessly skewered for it all day. Interestingly, Obama’s mob continues its war against that state (and all others) day after day, yet Jan Brewer has a misstep of a few...

In Texas Alone, 60,000 Babies of Noncitizens Get U.S. Birthright
by Tammy on August 8, 2010Just for perspective, this is about 60,000 anchor babies in one state, for one year. It is obvious one of the greatest incentives for illegal immigration is the citizenship birthright for noncitizen parents. Remove this ridiculous benefit and not only will illegal immigration slow, but self-deportation of those already here will increase exponentially. Here’s the latest on this story, and Boehner’s comments about the 14th Amendment. Across Texas, 60,000 babies of noncitizens get U.S. birthright Parkland Memorial Hospital delivers more of those babies than any other hospital in the state. Last year at Parkland, 11,071 babies were born to women who were noncitizens, about 74 percent of total deliveries. Most of these women are believed to be in the country...

ABA establishes Commission on Hispanic Legal Rights
by Pat_S on August 7, 2010A post by Pat If you’re wondering where Congress and the White House get their ideas on back door amnesty, the ABA (“American Bar Association”) is the prime suspect. The ABA established a commission to “study” Hispanic legal issues. Incoming ABA President Stephen N. Zack is dedicated to so-called Hispanic issues. “We need to find out the facts and we need to see how the system is working or not working to make sure that Hispanics are fully integrated and treated equally within our justice system,” said Zack, who will make the announcement when he officially becomes the ABA’s first Hispanic president at the group’s annual convention in San Francisco. Earlier this year the ABA House of Delegates voted to...

Illegal Alien Who Killed Nun Had Been Previously Released by Feds
by Tammy on August 3, 2010Sister Denise, killed by drink-driving illegal alien Why Obama’s defacto amnesty, the obscene plan to concentrate only on “criminal” illegal aliens grows more unacceptable by the day. This is also why Arizona must prevail in their efforts to secure their state, and consequently this nation. Look at it. The disgusting freak who killed Sister Denise and seriously injured two other nuns. Illegal immigrant who killed nun in accident was released by feds The Virginia man suspected in a drunken-driving crash that killed a Catholic nun in Prince William County this weekend is an illegal immigrant and repeat offender who was awaiting deportation and whom federal immigration authorities had released pending further proceedings, police said Monday. Carlos Montano, a county resident,...

Si Se Puede! Arizona Boycotts Failing
by Tammy on July 28, 2010This is especially sweet news as we await the judge’s decision (expected today) regarding Arizona’s SB 1070, the new law scheduled to go live on Thursday. Besides the moral victory, the failure of the boycotts sends a supportive message to every other state that has signaled interest in legislation similar to Arizona’s. Keep in mind as you read this story–the boycotts not only have failed–but have had the opposite impact as we launched our commitment of support for Arizona–hotels, tourism in general and revenue for the state have all increased during the past two months. Sweet, and congratulations Patriots! Arizona Hotels Thriving Despite Boycotts Over Immigration Law Arizona’s tourism industry has a target on its back, but the widespread boycotts...
