How Bad Is It for the Obamas? Booed, Flipped Off and Told to Quit
by Tammy on November 22, 2011**This is a Lounge/Open Thread. Feel free to post links** How soon did the American people know they had been conned by the Obama election? The first sign of the awakening was July 2009 when this now iconic poster of Obama as the Joker first surfaced in Los Angeles (of all places!). This poster was the first glitch in the Obamas carefully managed stagecraft meant to make dissent and critique of Obama too dangerous to put forward. So, an anonymous poster that said it all was the first sign that Americans had already realized we had been duped. Now the dissent is not anonymous, more specific and damning. Ranging from Democratic pollsters, to the normally genuflecting MSM, to Americans at...

Your History Fix/Weekend News Lounge
by Tammy on October 15, 2011Happy weekend everyone! Here is an Open Thread/News Lounge where the usual ‘no links’ rule has been lifted in the name of sharing and lounging. Please use this post as your general point for chiming in about whatever news of the day is stuck in your craw 🙂 Here are some history notes to get us started: Libyans battle to protect ancient treasures from looting …Local townspeople aided by the site’s archeological police patrolled 24/7. The Leptis Magna museum scattered its precious artifacts around various tightly secured warehouses. Its director went one step further, distributing a thoroughly documented inventory to friends in the capital an hour’s drive away, so even if the town were destroyed during the war its history...

Herman Cain Wins FL Straw Poll, Politics & Palin Lounge
by Tammy on September 24, 2011UPDATE: This week’s Palin Report has posted 🙂 Well, well, I’d say this little piece of news is a reminder that the field is wide open, and voters aren’t to happy with the Machine and LSM ‘anointed’ candidates. Thank goodness it appears Americans have stopped ‘getting our a**es in line.” You know I’m concerned about Cain’s lack of readiness for the presidency, and he seems like a terrific guy. I also believe he’d be a great asset to the next president. That said, this sends an important message to everyone, especially those still on the sidelines, that this is a wide open adventure amongst those who count–the voters. This post is a Lounge, and so the usual “no links” rule...

RCP: Palin: “Mark My Word, It Is Going To Be An Unconventional Election” McClatchy-Marist: Palin within 5 points of Obama. Politics, News & Palin Lounge
by Tammy on September 13, 2011I’ll be in the air returning to L.A. from New York on Wednesday, so I’ll be out of the loop most of the day. This also means there will be no Tammy Radio. In the meantime, here’s a Lounge where the usual “no links” rule is lifted, and for all of your coverage of things that interest you 🙂 I’ll start with the news this evening from the special election for New York’s 9th district, the race the replace Anthony Wiener. For background on tonight’s elections in both Nevada and New York: GOP hopes to sweep special elections in New York, Nevada Republicans are eyeing strong showings in two special congressional elections on Tuesday, one in Nevada, where the GOP...

The 9/11 Memorial Weekend Lounge
by Tammy on September 9, 2011As most of you know I leave for New York tomorrow (Saturday) for the 9/11 anniversary. There will be lots of Fox and I will join Johnny for a time on Sunday at Ground Zero for a special program he’s doing. Tammy Radio will be live from New York Monday and Tuesday. I’ll post more on the specifics here on the blog but wanted to make sure we had a Lounge where we could share the news of the day as usual and discuss the importance of memorializing the tragedy of 10 years ago (can you believe it’s been that long!). I’m honored I’m able to visit that great city on this anniversary. For this Lounge, like all others, the...
