ABC Reports Higher Premiums, Deductibles Since ’08. No Mention Of ‘Obamacare’
by Shifra on November 24, 2019If you are wondering how it is possible to report on middle-class healthcare skyrocketing costs from 2008 to 2018, without bothering to mention Obamacare as a possible factor, read last week’s ABC report. Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to lower costs? Wasn’t it named the *Affordable* Care Act? And now, the Dems are trying to foist an even more horrible scheme on us, with millions losing their private health insurance, and dumping everyone into Medicare For All, or, as it should be called, Healthcare For None. HT Twitchy. In 2008, middle-class workers spent about 7.8% of household income on premiums and deductibles. By 2018, that figure had climbed to 11.5%. https://t.co/u1iaCkAfoA — ABC News (@ABC) November 21, 2019 Gee, what happened between...

Trump Preparing EO To Let Americans Buy Health Insurance Across State Lines
by Tammy on September 27, 2017This is good news. The part of the story where Trump is planning to negotiate with the Democrats for a “bi-partisan” health bill is not so great. This is, no doubt, what the GOP swamp critters have wanted, guaranteeing big government control of our health care. ObamaCare was 3 steps forward to the scourge of nationalized healthcare. This action is simply one step back. Via Washington Examiner. President Trump is preparing an executive order to allow people to purchase health insurance across state lines, a reform conservatives have long championed as a way to bring costs down and stir greater competition in the national marketplace. The executive action gives the White House a chance to follow through on at least...

House GOP Narrowly Passes Health Care Bill Eviscerating ObamaCare
by Tammy on May 4, 2017While it’s imperfect, this only happened because Trump wanted it to. Paul Ryan resisted but in the end, they had to pass something recognizing that we were done putting up with their nonsense. They can take whatever victory lap they want, and in his remarks in the Rose Garden the president was much too generous toward House members and Ryan in particular, but the only reason this happened is because of you and Trump. This is only a first step, it is obviously incomplete despite the rhetoric that this was a repeal, but it’s a good start. Via CBS. The Republican-sponsored American Health Care Act (AHCA) passed the House 217-213 Thursday, with one vote to spare, although it will face...

Today’s Health Care Vote: What’s in the Bill?
by Tammy on May 4, 2017They’re finally doing it and voting on some dismantling of ObamaCare. It’s certainly not “repeal and replace,” but it’s better than nothing. Byron York reports the vote itself will happen at 130p ET, right during Tammy Radio! There was an $8B infusion into the bill addressing the issue of premium costs relating to pre-existing conditions, so that may have done the trick. This was done, of course, to placate “moderate” Republicans. This is what happens when government gets involved, costs go up and the situation gets worse. Remember, whatever comes out of the House then has to go to the Senate and then reconciliation to bring the two versions together, at which point it would be sent to the president....

First US City Set To See Complete Obamacare Collapse
by Tammy on April 5, 2017This disaster foisted upon us by the Democrats and allowed to fester by the Republicans. For seven years it was an experiment in failure, a death-watch with us as its guinea pigs. Now Congress sits and fights as though they had no idea this was coming. In the meantime, Congress kept its waiver, as I’m sure this cancer was meant only for the “little people.” One thing President Trump can do while Congress sucks its thumb is reverse their ObamaCare waiver and force Congress Critters and their staffs onto the menace immediately. The president then must do everything he possibly can to excise this scourge from the country. And I don’t mean re-working it. Via Daily Caller. Knoxville, TN could...

Report: White House to Unveil New Obamacare Repeal Deal Tuesday
by Tammy on April 3, 2017After President Trump golfed with Rand Paul, and Paul’s optimistic comments afterward, this isn’t entirely a surprise, but it certainly is faster than I expected. Repealing is one thing, what we replace it with is another. As I mentioned on Varney Monday morning, President Trump’s approval rating is dropping, but due in great part, I believe, to the fact that he has yet to have any success with Congress. The American people elected him to get things done, and part of that is making Congress get its act together. Having success this week on repealing ObamaCare and getting Gorsuch confirmed will help a great deal. It’s also safe to say even the Republicans understood what a screw-up it was to...

Tweet Fail: Pelosi Asks for ‘Positive’ Obamacare Stories, Gets Slammed

Obamacare Clown, Er, Architect Jonathan Gruber: GOP Healthcare Plan is a ‘Scam’
by Shifra on March 14, 2017Hey Professor Gruber: Who’s stupid now? Via Boston Herald. MIT economics professor and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said that any healthcare replacement law the GOP has in store is a “scam.” “Any replace[ment] that they would pass would result in millions of Americans losing health insurance, would result in higher premiums, and would result in a huge redistribution from the poor to the rich,” Gruber said on Boston Herald Radio’s “Herald Drive” show with John Sapochetti and Rick Shaffer. “Now if they are happy with that and they are willing to do that, I wouldn’t call that a replacement, I would call that a scam.” Gruber has stirred up controversy on a number of occasions after videos surfaced of him...

Trump Tells Agencies To Ease ObamaCare Burden, Orders Regulatory Freeze
by Tammy on January 20, 2017Via Fox News. In his first hours as president Friday, Donald Trump ordered federal agencies to “ease the burden” of ObamaCare while his chief of staff directed an immediate regulatory freeze. Trump was joined in the Oval Office by Vice President Mike Pence, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and other top advisers as he signed the executive order on President Obama’s signature health law, which he opposed throughout his campaign. The order directs agencies to report back on what administrative measures are needed to dovetail with legislative reforms as Republicans seek to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama’s signature legislation. White House spokesman Sean Spicer also told reporters that Priebus would send a memo to all agencies ordering a...

Dem who Said Palin Crosshairs Map Was ‘Aiding Terrorism’ Now Calls for ‘Blazing Guns’ to ‘Save’ Obamacare
by Shifra on January 6, 2017Hypocrisy, much? Via Breitbart. On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Representative James Clyburn (D-SC) stated that in order to save Obamacare, Democrats are “going to have to come out of the box with blazing guns.”…. Back in 2010, during an appearance on MSNBC, Clyburn said that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s (R) map of some Democrats who voted for Obamacare that had rifle crosshairs was “beyond the pale. And they need to stop this, because, I can tell you, I’ve seen how these things escalate. People out there in the streets get their signals, or what they think are their signals, from the people in positions like we hold. And so, if we don’t disown that…you are aiding...

Clueless CBS Anchors on Obamacare Premium Hikes: “What Happened?”
by Shifra on October 26, 2016How did this happen? Well, Charlie, Norah and Gayle: You carried the water for your ‘messiah,’ Barack Hussein Obama, for eight years, you all hailed Obamacare as an amazing success, and you ignored the suffering of real Americans as Obamacare began to implode. You’re welcome. Via Free Beacon. The anchors of CBS This Morning expressed bewilderment on Tuesday at the sharp premium hikes in Obamacare insurance plans, with one asking for an understanding for “why this is happening.”…. After Charlie Rose read out the report, Norah O’Donnell said, “We need a bigger understanding of why this is happening.” “We sure do,” Rose said. “Because the idea was not only to spread coverage around, but that by spreading the coverage around,...

Dem MN Gov Praised Obamacare, Now Calls Affordable Care Act ‘Oxymoron’
by Shifra on October 13, 2016If a Democrat who once sang the praises of the Affordable Care Act now calls it an “oxymoron,” I guess we can now call him a “moron.” Via Fiscal Times. Few governors in the nation greeted the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with more enthusiasm than Mark Dayton. The Minnesota Democrat hailed the new program as the apex of progressive governance and made sure the DFL-controlled legislature approved the Mnsure state insurance exchange. Not even a series of disasters in Mnsure implementation shook Dayton’s confidence in Obamacare, refusing to accept a recommendation in January 2014 from an independent consultant to shut down Mnsure and rely on the HHS federal exchange. Instead, Dayton poured tens of millions more into the state exchange,...

(Video) Obamacare Architect Blames Premium Hikes on Marco Rubio and the Republicans
by Shifra on October 7, 2016Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (yes, Rahm Emanuel’s brother) is known as the “architect” of Obamacare. He is also Vice Provost for Global Initiatives; Chair, Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. Medical ethics? This is the guy who famously stated that he hopes to die at 75. But I don’t think he’s really talking about himself. He probably means everyone else. That is how Obamacare can really save money. Via Free Beacon. Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel blamed Republicans, specifically Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), on Wednesday for premium hikes resulting from President Obama’s signature legislation. Prior to Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly interviewing Emanuel, Fox’s Trace Gallagher highlighted that Aetna, one of the largest health...

by Shifra on October 5, 2016Hasn’t Dodge Ball been banned by the Snowflake Social Justice Warriors? Because Chelsea Clinton seems quite adept at dodging. At least when unpleasant questions are fired at her. HT Daily Caller. Chelsea was asked about her father’s negative comments about Obamacare. Chelsea’s response: “So his question was, what does my Mom plan to do to fix the Affordable Care Act, but not scrap as her opponent wants to do” Bill Clinton calls Obamacare ‘the craziest thing in the world,’ later tries to walk it back A Millennial’s ObamaCare Lament ****************************************************

Insurers Warn Losses from ObamaCare are Unsustainable
by Tammy on April 16, 2016Predicable and predicted, and a good reminder on this tax weekend. Never forget, both the Democrat and Republican machines let this disaster roll along. While exempting themselves from this chaos, of course. With the pending “death spiral,” the idiots responsible for this think it’ll be their opportunity to declare Single Payer is the only way out. You know what resorting to Single Payer is? It’s like sending the Hindenburg to rescue the passengers on the Titantic. Via The Hill. Health insurance companies are amplifying their warnings about the financial sustainability of the ObamaCare marketplaces as they seek approval for premium increases next year. Insurers say they are losing money on their ObamaCare plans at a rapid rate, and some have...
