Tammy’s Collection of Dispatches from Bletchley Park
June 4Here are my reports from Bletchley Park, the historic site of secret British codebreaking activities during WWII and birthplace of the modern computer. The first one is a bit of the guide’s lecture on Enigma, the German code machine, so the sound isn’t great but he gives a good history of the device and how it worked. The other two are interviews about their work there. I have to tell you, it’s pretty neat to stand where Churchill stood and to be in the rooms where all this history was made.
Today, we cross the channel and visit the D-Day beaches! TO see what our troops saw as they approached the landing will be truly awe-inspiring. We have 3 of our D-day veterans with us, including our friend Mac Evans, and I’ll speak with him about his feelings on this day. We will also visit where our paratroopers landed in D-Day, like Sainte-Mère-Église. I’ll have reports from the beaches and town as well 🙂
Remember, follow me on SoundCloud as dispatches will appear there first. Thanks!

Public Podcast: Jamie Radtke, VA Tea Party, Leader On What The Heck is Happening to the GOP
April 2Podcast: Play in new window | Download
Virginia’ Republican Governor Bob McDonnell’s decision to raise taxes on Virginians hundreds of millions of dollars alarms not only the people of that great state, but conservatives everywhere. Many lament that McDonnell’s decision indicates a capitulation of the GOP to the craven policies of the left. Jamie not only unpacks what this means for the country, but also has good news for those of us who hope that there are still Republicans out there who represent the Reagan Legacy. Hope you enjoy it 🙂 For more information about Jamie, follow her on Twitter.

Read more 0 commentsAt 6:00 a.m. on the morning of October 3, 2009, Combat Outpost Keating was viciously attacked by Taliban insurgents. The 53 U.S. troops, having been stationed at the bottom of three steep mountains, were severely outmanned by nearly 400 Taliban fighters. Though the Americans ultimately prevailed, their casualties made it one of the war’s deadliest battles for U.S. forces. And after more than three years in that dangerous and vulnerable valley a mere 14 miles from the Pakistan border, the U.S. abandoned and bombed the camp. A Pentagon investigation later concluded that there was no reason for Outpost Keating to have been there in the first place.
THE OUTPOST is a tour de force of investigative journalism. Jake Tapper exposes the origins of this tragic and confounding story, exploring the history of the camp and detailing the stories of soldiers heroic and doomed, shadowed by the recklessness of their commanders in Washington, D.C. and a war built on constantly shifting sands
