Russian Official Says NASA Mars Water News Timed to Interrupt Putin UN Speech
by Pat_S on September 28, 2015Russian member of parliament, Vyacheslav Nikonov, says Putin’s speech was the ‘central element’ of the UN assembly. Putin had such great ideas to resolve international problems that the U.S. needed something major to take away the spotlight. Russian Official: NASA Announced Mars Water Finding To Interrupt Putin’s UN Speech “Putin’s speech was tough and concise. He formulated the basic principles of international relations without matching the United States and its allies. He offered concrete steps for resolving major international problems,” said Nikonov, a member of the Kremlin-backed United Russia political party and a grandson of Vyacheslav Molotov, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin’s foreign minister. “This means that they had to interrupt Putin’s speech with something very serious,” he added. by Pat_S on April 8, 2015Alexander Litvinenko was a former lieutenant-colonel in the Russian Federal Secret Service (FSB). Say You’re Sorry to Mr. Putin
by Pat_S on December 6, 2014Poor Vlad. He’s getting picked on by the big bullies. Now there’s a website, don’t know whose, with a pre-written apology you can sign and send to Putin and the Russian people for picking on them. Tell Putin You’re Sorry! From the dearputin website Dear President Putin and Russian People, Please accept our apologies for the behavior of our Governments and Media. Western Nations, led by the United States, seem determined to start a war with Russia. A sane person would recognize the terrible consequences of such a war and would do everything in their power to avoid it. In fact it appears that this is exactly what you are doing. In the face of an endless stream of lies...

Now a few thousand Russian troops are supposedly spending their vacations there. But those tanks aren’t loaded with coolers and beach chairs. Russian-Made Engines for US Rockets Under Review
by Pat_S on March 12, 2014The Russian-made RD-180 rocket engine is a core element of the Atlas V launch vehicle. Atlas V rockets are used to launch military and spy satellites into space. The RD-180 engines are built in Russia by NPO Energomash and provided to United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin. ULA has a monopoly on the Atlas V national security launches. When the joint venture was formed in 2005, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) challenged the arrangement on anti-trust grounds but lost. Now, the Air Force is initiating a wide-ranging review of its launch plans for 2017 and beyond. SpaceX is again seeking the opportunity to compete with ULA. As part of the Air Force review, the...

Russian Memories
by Pat_S on March 3, 2012Tomorrow is election day in Russia. Vladimir Putin is expected to win easily. His campaign was heavily seasoned with anti-American rhetoric and a call to restore Russian greatness. The weakness projected by the American president is certainly a factor but there is more to it. I’d like to point your attention to the Russian people. We in the West, especially Americans, believe there is an innate human desire for freedom. We may be overly optimistic about that. The anti-American rhetoric spewing from Putin is vintage Soviet-style propaganda—there are external enemies, the United States is meddling in internal affairs, the military must be strengthened to project Russian greatness. The Russian people are going for it despite an authentic opposition to Putin....
