Hillary’s Tell-All Book Will Be Called ‘I Lost,’ er, ‘What Happened’
by Shifra on July 27, 2017The book is scheduled for release on September 12. Would be much more appropriate for a September 11 release date. Remember Benghazi, anyone? Via Washington Examiner. Hillary Clinton announced Thursday her forthcoming book about the 2016 presidential election will be titled “What Happened.” Publisher Simon & Schuster will release Clinton’s book Sept. 12. The company released a preview of the introduction in which Clinton states she is ready to talk about an election year that was “marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules.”…. The book will also address how Clinton coped following the unexpected loss and “found the strength to pick herself back up afterwards.” Yes,...

Hillary’s Confetti for Planned ‘Historic Victory’ Finds New Life… in Giant Snow Globe
by Shifra on July 16, 2017Because…art! Or something… Via The Hill. An artist based in St. Louis channeled her emotions on the night of the presidential election into an idea for a new project: a snow globe making use of the decorations that Hillary Clinton would have used for a celebration had she won the 2016 presidential election. Now, pieces of the confetti flutter inside a window of the Bruno David Gallery in St. Louis 24 hours a day behind white letters reading “And Still I Rise,” the title of a Maya Angelou poem. Hillary Changes Story: She ‘Lost’ Herself in Reading, Not Chardonnay, After Election Loss
by Shifra on July 2, 2017Well, she was speaking to the American Library Association, so it was her “love of reading” that helped her through the pain of losing the election. If her next speaking gig is to the American Wine Society, will she change the story back to drinking Chardonnay? Stay tuned. Via Daily Mail Hillary Clinton divulged details about her third memoir, out this fall, and shared her post-election reading list to attendees at the American Library Association conference in Chicago on Tuesday. ‘It is the most personal book I’ve written,’ Clinton told the crowd of the yet-untitled book, which will chronicle the 2016 election and address ‘ongoing threats to our democracy.’ ‘It will give readers an idea of what it’s really like...

RIP Longtime TAM, Blog Contributor & Friend Patricia Smiley
by Tammy on April 23, 2017Patricia, Pippa and Corkie Our friend and longtime TAM Patricia Smiley passed away last Thursday, April 20. She was surrounded by family in the comfort of her home. Patricia was one of the first TAMs and provided wonderful advice and support when Tammy Radio went independent. A regular contributor for the blog and excellent researcher and helper for Tammy Radio, her support and friendship really helped make our work easier, smarter and more successful. On Twitter, she was always active, sharing stories and making sure her followers were well informed and encouraged. Her pups and social media representatives, Pippa and Corkie, would always make me smile. In addition to being a great independent conservative, like most of us, she was...

Mary Tyler Moore, TV Icon, Dies at 80
by Tammy on January 25, 2017Loved by everyone, I think I can speak for those of us with television being our primary influence as we grew up: I’m grateful I was able to watch a show like “Mary Tyler Moore” in the 1970s, featuring a single working woman in a field dominated by men. She reflected both strength and vulnerability, and also modeled how to be a decent person and good friend. In the 1970s, that sort of imagery was rare. For many, you were able to rely on your family to show you what the possibilities were; I was alone most of the time, with television as the major influence. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I grew up at a...

The Victims of the Orlando Islamist Terror Attack
by Tammy on June 13, 201649 innocents were murdered. That number may increase with over 50 hospitalized. We have identified them, but police are releasing names only after family has been notified. Here’s who we know so far. May they all rest in peace. In their names, let us focus on the truth and act on the reality of what they faced at that club. The attempts to politically obscure the hell they went through is itself obscene. Wemake sure their deaths are not in vain. A GoFundMe page has been started for the victims and families. Man Accidentally Deletes His Entire Company With One Line Of Bad Code
by Shifra on April 15, 2016Oops… Via Independent: A man appears to have deleted his entire company with one mistaken piece of code. By accidentally telling his computer to delete everything in his servers, hosting provider Marco Marsala has seemingly removed all trace of his company and the websites that he looks after for his customers. Mr Marsala wrote on a forum for server experts called Server Faultthat he was now stuck after having accidentally run destructive code on his own computers. But far from advising them how to fix it, most experts informed him that he had just accidentally deleted the data of his company and its clients, and in so doing had probably destroyed his entire company with just one line of code....
