‘I Take Responsibility’: Celebs Mocked Mercilessly for PSA on Racism
by Shifra on June 14, 2020‘I take responsibility’ – for falling off my chair laughing at the virtue-signaling, over-the-top ‘acting’ and raging narcissism of these clueless tone-deaf celebrities. And ‘I take responsibility’ – for fully enjoying these very clever and hilarious videos mocking the celebs’ Public Service Announcement. In case you (were fortunate enough to have) missed it, here is the cringey video: The celebs are back with the cringe in new #ITakeResponsibility video pic.twitter.com/nwyq0tePBQ — Culture Crave 🎥 🎮 (@CultureCrave) June 11, 2020 Via NY Post. A star-studded PSA for the “I Take Responsibility” campaign — featuring “influential voices from the white community [taking] responsibility for turning the racist tide in America” — is now being parodied by the white cast members of popular...

In 1775: 72 Killed Resisting Gun Confiscation In Boston
by Maynard on July 4, 2016National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a paramilitary extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw. Speaking after the clash, the Massachusetts Governor declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement..

Ben Franklin’s Answer to a Govt Program that Sent Criminals to America
by Maynard on November 18, 2015In the years leading up to the American Revolution, the colonists came to see themselves as subjugated by a powerful, unrepresentative government. In a 1751 letter to the Pennsylvania Gazette, Benjamin Franklin (signing himself "Americanus") satirically attacked the British practice of emptying their prisons and sending criminals to the colonies. He expresses sentiments that are remarkably similar to our modern distrust of and disgust with today's Washington: Smug superiority, indifference to the will of the people or the fate of the people, and the arbitrary and overriding exercise of power.

by Maynard on March 18, 2015The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants hotels to monitor how much time its guests spend in the shower. The agency is spending $15,000 to create a wireless system that will track how much water a hotel guest uses to get them to “modify their behavior.”...

ISIS Twitter Hashtag ‘We Are Coming O Rome’ Hijacked By Italians
by Shifra on February 24, 2015Love the Italians! When ISIS began threatening to invade Rome, and “throw homosexuals off the Leaning Tower of Pizza,” Italy struck back: Via Times of Israel: Italians welcome IS with ‘travel tips’ ….Islamic State supporters began using the hashtag #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome to signify the impending advance of the self-styled caliphate on the city and on the seat of the Catholic Church in the Vatican. For the government in Italy, the prospect of IS-inspired attacks was cause for real concern. Indeed, the Italian foreign minister said last week that Rome would weigh participating in any military intervention to keep Islamic State forces from advancing in Libya. But while some in Italy fear the risk that terrorists, mingled among boatloads of migrants, could...

Prepare for Valentine’s Day
by Maynard on January 25, 2015Despair.com's raison d'être (pardon my French) is to transform our collective misery into a much-needed smirk (in exchange for a modest fee, of course). The company is best known (if it's known at all) for its perverse line of "demotivators"...

Normalizing Relations With Cuba Is Bad For The Environment
by Pat_S on December 17, 2014In the spirit of Hilaryism, i.e., empathizing with the enemy, as far as psychologically possible I offer this precautionary note to 21st century Leftists. Since it was of such pressing urgency, Obama decided to take a step toward normalizing relations with Cuba. The embargo is a relic of the Cold War so they say. Actually a relic of the Cold War is old time Lefties who have a soft spot in their hearts for Marxist Cuba and the Castro regime. Modern day Leftists have other priorities and Shepard Smith curiously has hit on one. The Left has always been enamored of despots like Castro and “peoples republics” that inevitably oppressed people in the name of “the people”. In the first...

Maynard Exemplifies the Narrative: A True Story
by Maynard on June 16, 2014If the title doesn't put you off, then perhaps you'll find this minor real-life adventure worthwhile. It's all true, but the names and circumstances have been changed, in part to protect the guilty, but mainly to protect me.

Video: Help Obama Kickstart World War III! (Hey Obots: It’s a P-A-R-O-D-Y)
by Shifra on January 15, 2014I put an Obot explanation in the title, because I thought if they were dumb enough to vote for the guy twice, they might start sending cash to the imaginary website. But then I remembered: It’s mostly Conservatives who generously contribute to causes and charities. Libs? They mostly like to take money from, ya know, “evil rich people.” I am worried, though, that Libs who might have wandered on to Tammy’s blog (Hi Obots :)) might have strokes, or something, when they see the last frame of this clever parody: “Paid for by Koch Industries” Thank you, Koch Brothers!

If He Had His Way… Obama Promises: “If You Like Your Teeth, You Can Keep Them”
by Shifra on November 22, 2013(Major h/t to @rossmallioux on Twitter for this clever tweet!) Is dental insurance included in Obamacare? If so, will it be offered at Home Depot, next to the wrenches and power tools? From the *fab* pic of POTUS, it looks like a good deal to me

Onion Breaking News! ‘Romney Murdered JonBenét Ramsey,’ New Obama Campaign Ad Alleges
by Patricia on August 10, 2012**A Post from Patricia** I just wonder how many idiot lefty’s will pick this up and run with it. Could be fun to watch. Via The Onion CHICAGO—With campaign rhetoric becoming increasingly heated and both presidential nominees releasing more attack ads, a new 30-second spot from the Obama campaign this week accuses his opponent Mitt Romney of committing the 1996 murder of 6-year-old beauty pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey. Titled “He Did It,” the advertisement asks if anyone can truly remember where Romney was the night of the child’s murder, and whether the U.S. populace wants a president capable of strangling a little girl and dumping her body in her parents’ basement. President Obama appears at the end of the advertisement...

Romney’s Goal To Connect With One Voter By The Time This Is All Over
by Tammy on October 24, 2011From the troublemakers over at the Onion: While he is widely favored to win the Republican nomination for president next year, Mitt Romney told reporters Monday that deep down, what he truly wants is to actually establish a real, authentic connection with at least one voter before his campaign ends.

Golf, Baseball, April Fools
by Maynard on April 1, 2011A post by Maynard This article reports that Obama didn’t toss a season-opening baseball pitch this year? Why not? They speculate: The White House didn’t cite an official reason for staying home, but it’s not too hard to speculate why he left the Nationals’ first pitch duties to representatives of the five branches of the armed forces this time. With the war going on in Libya, and Japan still trying to recover from its natural disasters and nuclear threats, perhaps President Obama and his advisers felt it wouldn’t be appropriate to take an afternoon off from his duties to create a frivolous headline with more serious matters at hand. Didn’t seem to stop his golf game. I guess golf isn’t...
