Apple Software Locks iPhone Batteries to Prevent Independent Repair

I think Apple has some control issues… Also, I don't like hearing about hidden software in a product — that doesn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

    As for me, the last ‘smart phone’ I had was a iPhone 3G. And it was for work, because of text messaging to my coworkers…The day after I retired, I sold it on Craigslist for a rockbottom price…it sold within 3 hours. There was an episode of South Park called HumancentiPad, Season 15, Episode 1, 2011 that then(and now) sums up Apple’s entire corporate mindset…
