Once again I have the pleasure of filling in for Bernie Goldberg for the media segment, along with Jane Hall at about :30 minutes into the O’Reilly Factor. The subject will be whether or not the Idaho Statesman newspaper did hound Larry Craig, and whether or not using anonymous accusations about sexual misconduct is appropriate.

Actually, yesterday on Tammy Radio we have the audio of the anonymous man, whose voice was also disguised, accusing Craig of sexual misconduct with him in Washington, DC’s train station. I decided to not play it because that sort of anonymous accusation is not only gossip, but hypocritical. Here is a man supposedly “outing” another man for his behavior, but is allowed to protect himself, when he engaged in exactly the same act, allegedly. I’m just not going to do it. While my show is an opinion program and not news, I have a bit more leeway in what I play for for you, but even I thought it was beneath what’s appropriate in general. For a newspaper to use it as a supposed “investigation” is ridiculous. Here are some links.

Sorry, didn’t know where else to put this, but wanted to make sure you heard — since I know this will make you as furious as it’s made me:

Judge approves former astronaut’s request to remove monitoring
    bracelet

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A Florida judge says the former astronaut
who allegedly attacked a romantic rival at the Orlando airport can
remove the monitoring bracelet from her ankle.
The decision was made ahead of Lisa Nowak’s trial.
At a hearing last week, Nowak argued the device was expensive,
bulky and uncomfortable. However, the woman Nowak is accused of
attacking, Colleen Shipman, argued that the monitoring needs to
stay in place because she still fears Nowak.

While reading the editorial calling for Craig’s resignation I couldn’t help thinking about Bill Clinton’s behavior in the Oval Office and his subsequent denials. Too bad the Idaho Statesman’s archives don’t go back far enough to check. I wonder if they called for Clinton’s resignation concerned that his sexual caricature would have a distracting effect on his work as president.

When will someone have the guts to define a QUEER and a gay on TV. I had fellow workers my wife and I would go out with and we found out fast. As we sat waiting for drinks two of my work buddies looked up and saw a person and said almost in unison…”the queer’s here”… as my wife and I looked at each other. They then explained that gays want someone like them and queers prowl the bathrooms and little kids.

I don’t mind John as a guest host on O’Reilly–I like Michelle Malkin better–but the problem I have with him is that he goes on and on when posing his questions and does not leave commentators such as yourself enough time to respond. Then when you want to end with some salient point, the segment is over. Guess that’s the nature of the format.

Tammy, what did you want to add that the segment did not allow time for?

  7. jeweytunes says:

Predoc, that’s the exact question I wanted to ask. Tammy, you were pretty fired up about it! J
