Excellent coverage of this madness over at the Federalist. This argument that the buying and selling of women’s bodies should be considered perfectly normal has always been obscene. On April 26, Teen Vogue posted an article titled “Why Sex Work is Real Work” by Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng… What drew outrage, beyond the obvious, was that the article was published in Teen Vogue, a magazine targeted toward 13-year-old girls. This article reduces the work of a medical professional to that of a sex worker. I have some very sad news to share about our wonderful Sydney. She went over the rainbow bridge Saturday morning. I’ve been sharing with you on Instagram and Twitter the amazing pictures of Sydney. I had that photo session as I knew that her time was limited because of her health challenges. She was a two-time cancer survivor and last summer she had a stroke and then we discovered kidney issues. But the issue that arose Saturday was one none of us expected. What I learned was Sydney was suffering from pericardial effusion, a condition in which a large amount of fluid collects in the sack that surrounds the heart.
