Firefighters Who Transported Baby in Truck Reinstated
by Tammy on March 8, 2016Update to this story. Heroes in the face of micro-managing regulations that normally stop the right thing from happening. In this case, the regulations failed, and heroes saved a baby’s life. Via CNN. Virginia firefighters James Kelly and Virgil Bloom did what they believed was in the best interest of a baby when they rushed her to a hospital instead of waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Did the decision go against protocol? Yes. Did it make the volunteer firefighters heroes in the eyes of the baby’s father? Absolutely. On Monday, Stafford County Fire and EMS Chief Mark Lockhart announced that the two firefighters, who had been placed on leave, were reinstated. “I want to make clear that the reason...

After 3 Years Apart, a Vet Reunites with His Military Dog
by Tammy on March 6, 2016Julio and Ben Beautiful story for your Sunday. Via NY Post. One reunion down, hundreds more to go. On Saturday, Army veteran Julio Muñoz finally found the dog he has been missing for three years — Ben, the canine that fought alongside him in Afghanistan. Muñoz, 32, of The Bronx, was supposed to have been given the chance to adopt the dog after deployment. But as The Post revealed, at least two Pentagon employees, along with contractor K2 Solutions, have been secretly dumping military dogs out to civilians instead of offering them to their handlers. Kim Scarborough, 52, was one of those civilians. She found Muñoz’s name on Ben’s deployment papers. She had told The Post after reaching out to...

Owner of Deli Attacked by Machete Terrorist to Fly Bigger Israeli Flag
by Tammy on February 16, 2016I love this. Standing taller and defending our values is one of the important actions we must take against terrorism and the enemies of this country in general. Why are things getting worse? Because Obama’s agenda involves bowing, retreat and surrender. While Obama may have been able to ‘fundamentally change’ some of our policies for a finite period of time, he can’t change the American people. Via The Tower, HT Daily Caller. The assailant, identified by police as 30-year-old Mohamed Barry, “came in and asked where I was from,” Baransi told The Tower. While Baransi was at home nursing a headache at the time, one of his employees– a young waitress– told Barry that the owner is from Israel. The...

Blind Dog Saved By Good Samaritan
by bamconola on December 31, 2015**Bumped Up From TAM Wire. Posted By bamconola** I know Tammy loves great animal rescue stories. All Tams will enjoy this one. Via USA Today: Fishing guide Brian Carper didn’t have to use a pole to make a big catch the day after Christmas. All he needed was a soft spot in his heart for a blind dog in trouble. Carper left his boat to rescue the tiny 13-year-old shih tzu who wandered into Percy Priest Lake. Carper returned the dog to his grateful owners, who had been searching for their beloved pet for 15 hours. “When we got him back it was a reminder to me that God watches over his creatures both great and small,” said Barbara Gibbs,...

by Shifra on December 20, 2015Memo to the Obama Regime: Yes, we are a nation of immigrants. But the immigrants who enrich our country arrive with hope for a better future. Not with ISIS flags on their cellphones. I. George T. “Joe” Sakato Via Weekly Standard: On December 2, George T. “Joe” Sakato died at the age of 94. The last known living 9/11 search-and-rescue dog was recently honored with a weekend full of surprises in New York City, where she also celebrated her 16th birthday. Video: ‘Veterans Against The Deal’ In Scathing New Ad
by Shifra on August 11, 2015Obama has attacked anti-nuke deal Republicans, comparing them to Iran’s hardliners. And he has accused American Jews of “dual loyalty” for opposing the plan. So, will he call these Vets “just like ISIS?” Via Bloomberg: Obama has said recently that there are only two camps: those who support the deal versus those who would prefer a bloody and costly war like the conflict in Iraq. The new ad campaign complicates that, asserting that the deal itself will lead to more war. And the voices putting forth that case do not prefer war; they are soldiers who have had enough of it. The group, Veterans Against the Deal, was founded last month as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, and it does not disclose...
