At least that’s what the Lamestream Media and Obama’s Gestapos would love to be able to label her. But I have a tiny feeling they may not be able to figure out exactly how to do it. (HT to SondraK, Lympian Slayer for the article and the snarky post title 😉 )

Justice’s wife launches ‘tea party’ group

As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the “tea party” movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.

“I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you,” she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama’s “hard-left agenda.”

But Thomas is no ordinary activist…

I guess I should have expected a snarky title from a homophobe. 😉

This idealist in me compels me to prefer a Supreme Court as far removed from politics and activism as possible. Some Justices have observed a tradition of not voting in elections, so as to have that much less personal political involvement. I think there’s a lot to be said for that. So I’m not entirely comfortable to see Virginia Thomas as an activist. She can say her life is separate from her husband’s, but there’s a limit to how true that can be.

I’m amazed she’s waited this long to speak out, given what a hard time her husband was given during his confirmation.

ABC News thinking we care if the leader of the lib idiots on the Supreme Court, Stevens, is retiring.
I am not as worried about Mrs. Thomas forming a Tea Party Rally as I was about Judge Stevens being a complete liberal hog on the bench. Bu Bye. Stevens is responsible for Supreme Court being an activist court. Making laws from the bench instead of leaving law making for Congress. I try to think like anOriginalist as far as the Constitution is concerned.

More Civic lesson : take heed Obama the Executive Branch does not make laws like Death Care . It is up to Supreme Court to determine that Death Care is unconstitutional. Obama had his slime filled hands in “helping” Congress to pass Death Care.

It will be up to the COURT. When Tea Parties are made to be illegal Justice Thomas could recuse himself. hmmmmmm

Let’s see…Publicly expressing your political leanings must be hard if you’re the wife of a high government official, whose decisions affect the people of the US. Unless, of course, you’re someone like Mrs. Greenspan, aka Andrea Mitchell, who’s on MSNBC. Mitchell was on TV through her old man’s tenure as Fed Chairman. And no ruckus was made.

Mrs. Thomas [Conservative] launches Tea Party group: bad. Mrs. Greenspan [Liberal], talking head on MSNBC: good… It’s a Left/Right thing, you know.
