As many of you found, my appearance on Fox yesterday was not. I was a casualty of the shuttle launch (the much preferred variety compared to the other monstrous casualties of that God-forsaken program), or ultimately the lack-thereof.

So, today we’re trying again, and with the just-announced launch cancellation, I’m confirmed to be on at 12:15pm PT (3:15pm ET). The subject matter is indeed the continuing saga of the New York Times and how they just don’t, don’t understand what all the fuss is about. The Unelected Boys of Power from the NYT and LAT tried to explain themselves in the Newspaper 9 out of 10 Terrorists Prefer, with an an op-ed piece. It pretty much goes like this: “Freedom of speech, blah, bah, blah, Right to Know, blah, blah, blah. We hurt our brains deciding about this, dirka, dirka, dirka. George Bush is a secretive Hitler Just Like Nixon Monkey, blah blah blah.” His line on Face the Nation this morning was pretty much the same.

Thank goodness the normal world has Gerard Vanderleun, the proprietor of American Digest and fellow compatriot of mine at Pajamas Media. Gerard has the piece on this issue, as he filets Keller, the NYT and the Fourth Estate as skillfully as a sushi chef shows that salmon who’s boss.

On Fox we’ll discuss Keller’s spin on Face the Nation, and what is obviously a panicked attempt at spin by someone who has finally let, like most of the Left, Bush-Derangement-Syndrome (BDS) control his life and ruin his work.

UPDATE:

Roger L. Simon has an excellent commentary on this titled “Stoolies.” Don’t miss it.

  1. If it’s Sunday…

…then it’s time for the broadcast networks’ weekly circle-jerks known as the “Sunday-morning new shows,” and this week, for said circle-jerks to circle the wagons (to badly mix metaphors) around the New York Times. I’m not going to bother commenting…

Thanks for the post, Tammy! It is interesting the way both “Times” have played the censorship card in this story: If you criticize them, you are in favor of government censorship.

Incidentally, do you think that both “Times” (not to mention the rest of the MSM) will use their considerable resources to dig into the reports of 500+ WMDs found in Iraq? Or does the “public’s right to know” ends where the MSM’s partisan preferences begins? Contrary to what Keller and Co. claim to profess, are there some things the masses were not meant to know?

    Great segment on Fox Tammy!

One of Keller’s moronic arguments defending the article is that because the Bush administration often leaks to the NYT’s successful programs it wants reported, this article then is equally appropriate for publication.

The big difference is that the information the govt. officially divulges is not classified – it does not jeapordize any operations/lives.

p.s. Pink is fine, but a deep green outfit I think would look nicer, bring out your Irish features. 🙂

  4. Good post Tammy.

Just one thing… Vanderleun’s personal blog is American Digest instead of American Thinker.

Keep up the good work. Frank L

    [Yep. That’s been fixed. Thanks.–ed.]

I missed your segement yesterday Tammy… but will be looking for you this morning. :o)

I can’t figure out why in the world they keep trying to launch the shuttle in the afternoon. Did they forget that it’s summer and that they’re in Florida? …big head shake…
