The first thing I thought about is how sad for her new little baby girl. My goodness, what a mess. All that fighting over money with her husband’s son. Now both are dead.
Anna Nicole Smith dies after collapsing in hotel
CNN) — Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being taken to a Florida hospital, a law enforcement source told CNN.
Smith, 39, collapsed at a south Florida hotel, according to news reports.
“I can confirm that she is deceased. It’s as shocking to me as to you guys,” Smith’s attorney, Ronald Rale, told Reuters. “I don’t know anything further. [Her lawyer and husband] Howard [K. Stern], obviously, is speechless and grieving.”

The autopsy ends of being inconclusive about cause of death. And despite initial reports, no illegal drugs were found in the room. They have also ruled out physical injury as the cause of death. Here’s the latest:
More Tests Needed in Smith Death Case
More tests will be necessary to determine the cause of Anna Nicole Smith’s death, but no illegal drugs were found in her hotel room, officials said Friday.
It’s possible Smith’s died of natural causes, because of some medication or from a combination of reasons, said Dr. Joshua Perper, the chief medical examiner for Broward County, who performed the autopsy.
The autopsy was able to exclude any types of physical injury such as gunshot wound, asphyxiation or blunt trauma on the body of the 39- year-old former Playboy playmate and reality TV star, Perper said.
It revealed only “subtle findings” in the heart and gastrointestinal tract, and blood in her stomach from being in shock before she died, Perper said. Minor bruises on her back were from a previous fall in the bathroom, he said.
“There were no findings that would indicate continuing drug abuse,” Perper said. He called the process a “medical puzzle” and said it would take three to five weeks to conclude the investigation.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Anna Nicole is responsible for not only her death but for her son’s as well due to her life-long serious drug addiction. She was not a good person. My only sympathy is for her baby daughter BUT at least now the baby’s real father, Larry Birkhead, will get sole custody of his daughter. That jerk, Howard Stern, is NOT legally her husband. They had a “ceremony” on a yacht but were never actually married. Howard Stern is largley responsible for her downlfall. He is a CREEP and is going to be looked at very closely as he was present during Anna AND her son’s deaths. Anna’s baby daughter was born with Methadone in her system. If that pimp, Howard Stern really loved Anna and her son, he would have done everything possible to get them into rehab. He admitted to flushing Methadone belonging to Anna’s son down the toilet before the police arrived after her son’s death was reported.
What a sad situtation for all involved. Some people spend so much effort chasing a happiness they forget what it really is after a while. I always figured that she was a drug user but I also find it sad when someone gets sucked into that cycle. I don’t think anyone has that first try thinking…”I would love to be a junkie”. I wonder if the baby would legally go to her own mother as next of kin until all legal issues surrounding paternity are resolved. The way I see it, there is no really great option for this child. Larry Birkhead seems like a seedy SOB also the way he went about his paternity issue. I found it appauling at the time he was in front of cameras flashing his pearly whites while this woman buried her child. If the baby is his, and he believes she is then he could have started this long before her birth, why when she is weakest. Howard Stern is another questionable character…Birds of a feather….
Good, bad, or indifferent, it is sad that her daughter will never grow up to really know both her mom and older brother. However, there are many people in this country, alone, who are in the same club.
anna nicole was something of a modern day marilyn monroe. and sadly, it appears her life ended in a similar fashion.
You know, Janet, regardless of whether Anna Nicole Smith died due to drugs or not, she was a human being – a very sad, tragic human being. You seem to be ‘in-the-know’ about what’s best for Anna’s child and what happened to Anna Nicole, so I can’t help but wonder if you’re from The National Enquirer, MSM or a government agency.
The situation is sad, indeed, especially for the little baby girl. Instead of spending so much time going off on Anna Nicole’s life and death, more time would be better spent praying for this innocent little baby.

What a sad, sad tragedy. I prayed the Lord would help that baby girl be placed in the best situation possible for her future.
I watched Anna Nicole’s tv show and it was so sad. She had no one in her life with a backbone. They all just wanted to be around her so they went along with her every wish. Yes, she created that world she lived in, but it’s still sad.
Anyone who has known someone addicted to perscription pills knows how tough it is. It’s impossible to “make” them stop. It’s a long decline, but it looked like her son’s death completely destroyed her. That does happen from time to time. There are people born into this world who have a fragile soul, no matter what they appear to be on the surface.
i just wanted to tell you tammy, that i saw you on o’reilly and what you said about bush and why people “hate” him was the greatest thing i ever heard. people always ask me why i like him and why a support him, i asked them why they say they hate him and i could never give them a good defense. you helped me greatly. you are a smart and wonderful person
