Yes, he did!

A post by Maynard

It was April 20, 1979, exactly 28 years ago, and Jimmy Carter was celebrating Adolf Hitler‘s 90th birthday and quietly contemplating his recent triumph in convincing the Shah of Iran to relinquish power to the collection of genocidal maniacs who have gone on to promote war and terrorism against the West. Perhaps Jimmy, out of concern for his reputation, was already planning to write his book in which he would blame those pesky Israelis. But for the moment, all he wanted to do was paddle lazily down the stream. And so he did…until the rabbit attacked.

It is a matter of historical record that Jimmy Carter is the only president ever to be attacked by a rabbit. Does one need to ask why? No doubt the rabbit was expecting a negotiated settlement. It seemed a likely prospect, considering whom he was dealing with. But Jimmy, for the first and only time in his life, decided that this challenge should be answered by violence. No, not even a pause to issue a strongly-worded letter. Jimmy simply grabbed his paddle and whacked away until his adversary fled in terror. Bravely done, Mr. Carter! Bravo!

The Secret Service photographed the incident, and thus it passed into history. You can see the pictures and read a less vitriolic account in Wikipedia and elsewhere.

Sounds like Jimmy was too deep into Monty’s movies. Like Bush another gutless liberal I voted for. In Jimmy’s case I have been kicking myself in the *ss for decades – I had a real choice and chose wrong. Between W and JFK there really, in retrospect, was not a good choice, and the world is hurting as a result.

No doubt Hollywood will be planning a movie to commemorate the event.

But like JFK and other historical gems, a little bit of editing will be employed by scriptwriters. In other words, the rabbit will be replaced by a Halliburton-backed Christianist chickenhawk assault rifle-toting Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy WASP male death squad out to wage an illegal war to steal oil from the Middle East and Plains.

There – now would that not look better on a 30-second promo spot on TV than a wet rabbit? Not to mention giving CNN and the rest of the MSM a chance to call for a Congressional investigation “of those who may have been responsible”!

Carter illegally constructed a de facto wall (the sides of the boat) on the rabbit’s territory. That’s apartheid pure and simple. Carter is a Nazi imperialist for using disproportionate force against this poor, oppressed animal.

Didn’t Carter go back and build a house for the rabbit’s family out of guilt?

We need to stop “invading” the rabbit’s territory! He was just doing what rabbits do! Man must stop destroy… Sorry…just slapped myself out of the stupor that the MSM has me in lately with their standard responses to everything. Jimmy Carter was, is and forever will be a dufus of the highest order!

Carter violated international law and tresspassed on Rabbit waters. Who are you gonna believe, the rabbit when it said Carter was spying, or the dirty, filthy, lying American ex-president? The rabbit had every right to take Carter hostage, to torture him, parade him around on Rabbit tv, to film him laughing while enjoying a tasty meal of carrots and lettuce, and to take his eager confession.
