That question, of course, is rhetorical. The answer is “never” especially when the “investigation” you launch into is actually nothing more than you doing the bidding of the man you should be investigating–George Soros. Murdoch, as an example, has not declared himself the messiah, he has never publicly declared that he intends to spend his fortune on seating or unseating an American president, nor has he been found guilty of Insider Trading by a government. Funny enough, though, it’s not Soros they’re interested in, who has done all those things. Gee, I wonder why.

The NYT has indeed launched a massive “investigation” into Rupert Murdoch and News Corp., and one does have to, shall I say, question the timing. Gee, as we launch into presidential campaigns, the Dems try to shut out Fox News from debates and coverage, and now the completely independent, absolutely not an organ for the Soros Gestapo, decides, in today’s world or war and terrorism, that the most important person they should spend enormous resources on “investigating” is…Murdoch.

But it certainly has absolutely nothing to do with partisan politics and the desire to shut down a venue that offers a hearing for alternative ideas and voices. Alternative from the lefitst status quo, that is. No conflict of interest there as television’s coverage of the news continues to eat away at newspaper circulation. Nope, nothing to see here folks except a publicly held company working to undermine what they see as a political/business/philosophical rival.

Welcome to Germany, Italy and Japan, 1934.

Times Undertakes Multi-Bureau Rupert Murdoch Investigation

The New York Times is currently undertaking a major news investigation, led by managing editor Jill Abramson, into News Corp.’s business dealings throughout the world, according to a source with knowledge of the project.

…[S]he told The Observer in an e-mail on May 26, executive editor Bill Keller has kept her quite busy.

“Bill has asked me to lead an investigative project for the next month, which I’ll mainly do from home,” Ms. Abramson wrote at the time. “It involves a group of domestic and foreign reporters, but I obviously can’t tell you what it is.”

The investigative project also includes, according to a source at The Times, investigative editor Matt Purdy and reporters Jo Becker (in New York), Jane Perlez (in London) and Joseph Kahn (in Beijing).

Why are the Left and the Dems desperate to silence Fox News? And make no mistake–this is what this is all about. They know they need opposing voices to be silenced if they are to gain power in this nation. They have no hope of doing so as long as talk radio, the internet and the one television channel that allows non-leftist opinion to be heard, operate freely. Whether it be bringing back the so-called “Fairness Doctrine,” or public campaigns to marginalize programming and radio hosts, or boycott campaigns to destroy sponsorship, or so-called investigations meant to intimidate and destroy, the goals are all the same–silence opposing viewpoints, silence those who do not pay allegiance to the Soros/Leftist Gestapo.

The only way the Dark can prevail is by turning off the Light. It’s up to us to make sure this sort of Intimidation Campaign does not succeed. IAs I aks you in my book, The New American Revolution, boycott the New York Times. Check your stock holdings, mutual funds especially, and find out of you’ve bought NYT stock, and divest. Do not support them in any fashion, and let them know what you are doing.

It’s not “investigations” that bother me, it’s the use of one to intimidate a political and philosophical rival into silence. Now if they were doing a simultaneous, equal “investigation: into Soros, my point would be moot, but they aren’t and won’t. It’s that simple. Th Establishment Media now has nothing to do with reporting news. All it is, all of it, is the propaganda arm for the American Leftist Machine, and it must be fought.

Lenin and the First Communist Revolutions

The work of the Cheka, Russia soon learned, was never done. Censorship was quickly imposed, and it was up to the Cheka to confiscate the literature of dissident workers: “[O]n 17 November the Central Executive Committee passed a decree giving the bolsheviks control over all newsprint and wide powers of closing down newspapers critical of the regime…” (Leonard Shapiro, The Communist Party of the Soviet Union). Workers were re-forming independent soviets; the Cheka broke them up. Independent newspapers criticized Lenin’s government; the Cheka closed them down, until the Bolshevik-controlled Pravda and Izvestia had a monopoly on the supply of news. As Shapiro notes, “The refusal to come to terms with the socialists and the dispersal of the Constituent Assembly led to the logical result that revolutionary terror would now be directed not only against traditional enemies, such as the bourgeoisie or right-wing opponents, but against anyone, be he socialist, worker or peasant, who opposed bolshevik rule.” (The Communist Party of the Soviet Union)

And one of its premier mouthpieces [emphasis on MOUTH] is Chris “Interrupt-the-Response-With-Staccato-FollowUp-Questions” Matthews. Recall the loaded/leading questions he posed as moderator [cough!] of the Republican debates recently. He’s not a newsman; he’s a Democratic hack.
