Maynard’s News You Can Use
If you visit Google Maps and click the “Street View” button, you’ll see the growing list of cities where individual roads have been thoroughly photographed.
This is an amazing feature. Google has sent cars with roof-mounted 360-degree cameras up and down every street, snapping wide-angle pictures every 20 yards or so. With a few clicks, you’re off on a virtual tour of any major metropolitan region. Note that you can drag each picture around to see the full circle view. There’s also up-and-down leeway to look higher or lower.
The Google cars have gone everywhere. Small streets as well as major ones. If you live in a Googled region, try finding your own residence.
Of course, with countless cameras snapping endless photos, some bizarre images inevitably show up. Enthusiasts have been collecting these noteworthy pics for your viewing pleasure.
